(Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} Texties - Text & Chat Stories is a book app that is completely free. With a 4.61/5 rating from 186 reviews, it shows mixed user reception. > **Bottom Line:** Texties relies on a unique chat-based format that retains a loyal core, but the six-year development gap and rigid authentication system are actively eroding the user base. Pivoting to flexible authentication would unlock the international market and stabilize the current churn. **Best for:** Readers who enjoy short-form, mobile-first fiction and writers looking for a platform to publish chat-style stories. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [PIVOT] Migrate authentication to email-based login because phone-number-only registration is the #1 complaint → reduce account lockout churn ### Outlook: Declining The mobile fiction market is consolidating around apps with frequent content updates and social features, leaving Texties exposed due to its long-term development freeze. Without a return to active development, the app will likely continue to lose relevance as users migrate to platforms that offer more reliable access and modern authentication. - 🔴 The lack of updates for over 74 months indicates the app is in maintenance mode, which prevents it from addressing critical login failures. - 🔴 Persistent user complaints regarding phone-number-only authentication continue to drive negative sentiment and prevent international user growth. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Overall Rating | 4.61/5 | | Total Reviews | 186 | | Sentiment | Mixed (55/100) | | Confidence | Medium | | Pricing Model | Free | | Platforms | iOS | | Key Features | 3 analyzed | | Outlook | Declining | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **Texties - Text & Chat Stories** (this app) | 4.61/5 | Mixed | Acceleron Corp. | | [[박한평 문장집] 필사, 마음건강, 동기부여, 명언](https://marlvel.ai/apps/sproutgrowlabs-hanpyeong-free) | N/A/5 | N/A | SPROUTGROWLABS | | [옛글들 - 소설, 수필, 시](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--383) | N/A/5 | N/A | kim juyoung | | [박한평 문장집 : 필사, 마음건강, 동기부여, 명언](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-sproutgrowlabs-hanpyeong) | N/A/5 | N/A | SPROUTGROWLABS | | [두란노 비전통독](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--969) | 3.3/5 | N/A | Duranno | | [스마트 성경과찬송가 - 피아노반주, 개역개정,새번역](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--191) | 4.3/5 | N/A | Eugene Song | ## Company Profile - **Developer:** Acceleron Corp. - **Website:** [https://texties.lol](https://texties.lol) - **Social:** [Instagram](https://instagram.com/textieslol) · [Facebook](https://facebook.com/textieslol) · [X/Twitter](https://twitter.com/textieslol) ## Data Sources & Links - **App Store ID:** 1257501574 - **Dev Site:** [Official Website](https://texties.lol) - **Sources:** Developer website content, App store metadata, User reviews. ## Related Intel Reports - [*[박한평 문장집] 필사, 마음건강, 동기부여, 명언*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/sproutgrowlabs-hanpyeong-free) (SPROUTGROWLABS) · N/A Rating - [*옛글들 - 소설, 수필, 시*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--383) (kim juyoung) · N/A Rating - [*박한평 문장집 : 필사, 마음건강, 동기부여, 명언*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-sproutgrowlabs-hanpyeong) (SPROUTGROWLABS) · N/A Rating - [*두란노 비전통독*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--969) (Duranno) · 3.3/5 Rating - [*스마트 성경과찬송가 - 피아노반주, 개역개정,새번역*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--191) (Eugene Song) · 4.3/5 Rating - [*두플러스*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--972) (Duranno) · 4.8/5 Rating - [*생명의삶 정식버전*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--968) (Duranno) · 3.1/5 Rating - [*대한성서공회 연구성경*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--566) (Korean Bible Society) · 2.8/5 Rating - [*リビングバイブル*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/biblica-japanese) (Biblica) · 5.0/5 Rating - [*ジャンプルーキー！*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-shonenjump-rookie) (SHUEISHA Inc.) · 3.9/5 Rating ## Frequently Asked Questions {#faq} ### Is Texties free to use?
