The absence of recent development prevents the platform from gaining traction against active, automated competitors. ## Monetization Strategy - **Model:** Free - **Tiers:** Free to use - **Analysis:** Local Job Market operates as a free service with no visible subscription or IAP gates. ## SWOT Analysis {#swot} **Core Strengths:** - GPS-based radius filtering enables hyper-local talent discovery **Growth Levers:** - Implementing a freemium model for employer-side candidate outreach ## Recent Changes (v2 → v3) {#recent-changes} The platform's competitive position remains unchanged due to a six-year development freeze, though the analytical outlook shifted from declining to stable as the app is now viewed as a static niche utility rather than a failing active competitor. **Overall trend**: Stable **Compared at**: 2026-09-01 ### High-impact changes - **[Shifted] Outlook Trend Adjustment** (positioning) ### Medium-impact changes - **[Added] Freemium Opportunity Identified** (swot) - **[Removed] Direct Contact System Deprecation** (features) ## What's New - **Latest (v7.3, 6 years ago):** Prioritized social login (Facebook/Google) over credentials and added profile completion prompts for white-colored pins. ## App Momentum (Zombie) {#momentum} - No updates for over six years - Maintenance-mode status since early 2020 > **Cadence:** 1 total versions · 1 majors in last 6 months · 2405 days since last update ## The "So What?" (Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} Local Job Market is a business app that is completely free. > **Bottom Line:** Local Job Market remains in a maintenance state, and the lack of updates since 2020 signals that the platform is not currently competing for market share. Revitalizing the matching engine would be the first step toward assessing if the local-radius model remains viable. **Best for:** Local jobseekers, freelancers, and employers requiring talent within a specific geographic proximity. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [MAINTAIN] Audit the matching engine because the platform has been dormant for six years → determine if the core logic remains functional ### Outlook: Stable The job-matching market is consolidating around automated, high-frequency platforms, leaving static tools like Local Job Market at a disadvantage. Without a clear roadmap for feature updates, the platform will continue to lose relevance to competitors that offer more robust, data-driven matching. - 🔴 The six-year development gap indicates a lack of active investment, which prevents the platform from addressing modern job-matching expectations. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Total Reviews | 0 | | Confidence | Low | | Pricing Model | Free | | Platforms | iOS | | Key Features | 2 analyzed | | Trend | Stable | | Outlook | Stable | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **Local Job Market** (this app) | N/A/5 | N/A | Salah Malaeb | | [Groupon Merchant](https://marlvel.ai/apps/groupon-merchant) | 3.0/5 | n/a | Groupon, Inc. | | [긱톡 - 재택부업, 프리랜서, 단기알바 정보 플랫폼](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-gigtalk-gigtalk) | 4.5/5 | N/A | Nextstep Inc. | | [두란노](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--971) | N/A/5 | N/A | Duranno | | [쿠펀치](https://marlvel.ai/apps/coupang-app-coupunch) | 1.0/5 | N/A | Coupang Corp. | | [아지트 - 함께 소통하는 업무용 커뮤니티](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--797) | 3.0/5 | N/A | Kakao Corp. | ## Company Profile - **Developer:** Salah Malaeb ## Data Sources & Links - **App Store:** [View on Apple Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/local-job-market/id1326506852?uo=4) - **Sources:** App store metadata. ## Related Intel Reports - [*Groupon Merchant*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/groupon-merchant) (Groupon, Inc.) · 3.0/5 Rating - [*긱톡 - 재택부업, 프리랜서, 단기알바 정보 플랫폼*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-gigtalk-gigtalk) (Nextstep Inc.) · 4.5/5 Rating - [*두란노*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--971) (Duranno) · N/A Rating - [*쿠펀치*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/coupang-app-coupunch) (Coupang Corp.) · N/A Rating - [*아임히어 - 모바일 출결 관리 앱*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-imhere-client-student) (LFin) · 2.9/5 Rating - [*카매니저 - 중고차 딜러전용 전국 매물공유 플랫폼*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/kr-co-autocafe-carmanager) (atonmobility appmaster) · 3.0/5 Rating - [*금호고속 셔틀*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/kr-co-kumhobuslines-shuttle-route-passengernew) (kumhoexpress) · 2.1/5 Rating - [*쿠팡이츠 배달 파트너*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/coupang-eats-delivery) (Coupang Corp.) · 2.6/5 Rating ## Frequently Asked Questions {#faq} ### Is Local Job Market free to use?
