The lack of updates since 2021 suggests a maintenance-only posture that limits its competitive reach against more active study platforms. ## Monetization Strategy - **Model:** Freemium - **Tiers:** Free tool with 25 drag and drop questions, Paid tool with 100+ questions and exam simulation features - **Analysis:** The freemium model uses a limited free question set to demonstrate value before gating the full 100+ question bank behind a paid purchase. ## SWOT Analysis {#swot} **Core Strengths:** - Drag and drop simulation provides a specific, high-value training mechanism for the current PMP exam format - Domain-based sorting aligns directly with the official PMP exam content structure **Growth Levers:** - Implementing a subscription model could capture recurring revenue from the high-intent professional certification market - Expanding the question bank beyond the current 100+ count would increase the value proposition ## What's New - **Latest (v1.1.2, 5 years ago):** Updated the picker view to improve accessibility and user comprehension. ## App Momentum (Zombie) {#momentum} - Quiet 5 years, no major updates - Maintains 4.88 rating on 114 reviews > **Cadence:** 1 total versions · 0 majors in last 6 months · 1916 days since last update ## The "So What?" (Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} PMP® Exam Prep with Aileen is an education app that is free with in-app purchases. It holds a 4.89/5 rating from 114 reviews. > **Bottom Line:** PMP® Exam Prep with Aileen's value rests on its specific drag and drop simulation, but the 5-year update gap threatens its long-term viability. Refreshing the question bank would address the obsolescence risk driving potential user churn. **Best for:** Project management professionals preparing for the PMP certification exam who need practice with specific question formats. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [PIVOT] Audit current question bank against latest PMP exam standards because the app has not been updated since 2021 → maintain exam relevance ### Outlook: Declining The PMP exam preparation market rewards platforms that maintain high-frequency update cadences to reflect current exam content. PMP® Exam Prep with Aileen's multi-year development gap leaves it vulnerable to competitors that offer updated, dynamic question banks, which will likely erode its user base over the coming quarters. - 🔴 The lack of development activity since 2021 indicates the app is in maintenance mode, which limits its ability to compete against active rivals. - 🔴 Stagnant feature sets and question banks will likely lead to reduced user conversion as the PMP exam content continues to shift. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Overall Rating | 4.89/5 | | Total Reviews | 114 | | Confidence | Low | | Pricing Model | Freemium | | Platforms | iOS | | Key Features | 3 analyzed | | Outlook | Declining | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **PMP® Exam Prep with Aileen** (this app) | 4.89/5 | N/A | Aileen Ellis of AME Group, Inc | | [ALPA: Lernspiele für Kinder](https://marlvel.ai/apps/alpa-lernspiele-fur-kinder) | N/A/5 | N/A | ALPA Kids OU | | [ATPdigital (Legacy)](https://marlvel.ai/apps/atpdigital-legacy) | 2.0/5 | n/a | Bristol Groundschool International Ltd | | [Catbus Student](https://marlvel.ai/apps/catbus-student) | 4.1/5 | N/A | Cohota Join Stock Company | | [Chinese Tibetan Dictionary](https://marlvel.ai/apps/chinese-tibetan-dictionary) | 5.0/5 | Thrilled | Lobsang Monlam16922404891 | | [Insights to Behavior](https://marlvel.ai/apps/insights-to-behavior) | N/A/5 | N/A | Insights to Behavior | ## Company Profile - **Developer:** Aileen Ellis of AME Group, Inc - **Website:** [https://www.aileenellis.com](https://www.aileenellis.com) - **Social:** [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/aileen.ellis) · [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/projectmanagementexpert) · [X/Twitter](https://twitter.com/AileenEllis) · [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/user/aileenellis9) · [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/projectmanagementexpertaileen) ## Data Sources & Links - **App Store ID:** 1570349699 - **Dev Site:** [Official Website](https://www.aileenellis.com) - **Sources:** Developer website content, About us / company information, App store metadata. ## Related Intel Reports - [*ALPA: Lernspiele für Kinder*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/alpa-lernspiele-fur-kinder) (ALPA Kids OU) · N/A Rating - [*ATPdigital (Legacy)*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/atpdigital-legacy) (Bristol Groundschool International Ltd) · 2.0/5 Rating - [*Catbus Student*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/catbus-student) (Cohota Join Stock Company) · 4.1/5 Rating - [*Chinese Tibetan Dictionary*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/chinese-tibetan-dictionary) (Lobsang Monlam16922404891) · 5.0/5 Rating | Excellent Sentiment - [*Insights to Behavior*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/insights-to-behavior) (Insights to Behavior) · N/A Rating - [*Legasthenie & LRS Trainer*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/legasthenie-lrs-trainer) (Matthias Aigner) · N/A Rating - [*Lyceum Leaf Parent*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/lyceum-leaf-parent) (Techcess Business Solutions (Pvt) Ltd) · N/A Rating - [*MapTap.gg*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/nibble-games-maptap) (MapTap Inc) · 4.9/5 Rating | Excellent Sentiment - [*Money Matrix (CAD)*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/money-matrix-cad) (Blooming Kids Software LLC) · 5.0/5 Rating - [*myTibetan*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/mytibetan) (Yury Nevalenny) · 4.8/5 Rating | Excellent Sentiment ## Frequently Asked Questions {#faq} ### Is PMP® Exam Prep with Aileen good for PMP exam preparation?
