Real Drums! is a music app that is completely free.
It holds a 4.43/5 rating from 7 reviews.

<!-- speakable-start -->
> **Bottom Line:** Fixing the audio ducking failure would address the primary frustration driving negative sentiment, as the current inability to manage background volume disrupts the core practice loop.
<!-- speakable-end -->

**Best for:** Amateur musicians and hobbyists looking for a portable, customizable drum practice tool.

<!-- section:pm-actions -->
### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves)

- [ ] [INVEST] Fix background audio ducking because it is the top-reported frustration → improve user sentiment
<!-- /section:pm-actions -->

<!-- section:outlook -->
### Outlook: Stable

The music-utility market is consolidating around apps that support external audio routing and seamless background integration. Real Drums! remains in a maintenance posture, which risks losing its hobbyist base to competitors that prioritize active feature expansion and workflow compatibility.

- 🔴 The maintenance-only release cadence (14-week interval) limits feature expansion, which leaves the app exposed to more active music-utility rivals.
- 🔴 Audio ducking failures in the latest version erode the practice experience, which compounds the frustration already visible in user feedback.
