(Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} Simple Compass-Your Direction is a navigation app that is completely free. It holds a 3.14/5 rating from 14 reviews. > **Bottom Line:** The persistent directional accuracy failures and lack of development activity render the product obsolete against native OS tools. Sunset the app to prevent further negative brand impact, as the current state fails to meet basic navigation utility standards. **Best for:** Users requiring a basic, high-visibility compass for navigation. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [SUNSET] Sunset the product because the directional accuracy failures are unaddressed for 20 months → stop brand erosion. ### Outlook: Declining The navigation utility market is consolidating around native OS tools that provide high-accuracy, sensor-calibrated data. Simple Compass-Your Direction lacks the development cadence to compete, and its failure to address critical accuracy complaints signals a terminal decline in utility. - 🔴 The 20-month development silence prevents the app from adapting to modern hardware sensor requirements, which directly causes the reported directional inaccuracy. - 🔴 Persistent launch failures on specific hardware configurations erode the user base, leading to a negative sentiment trend that remains unaddressed by the developer. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Overall Rating | 3.14/5 | | Total Reviews | 14 | | Sentiment | Frustrated (25/100) | | Confidence | Medium | | Pricing Model | Free | | Platforms | iOS | | Key Features | 2 analyzed | | Outlook | Declining | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **Simple Compass-Your Direction** (this app) | 3.14/5 | Frustrated | Ramalingam Sivaramakrishnan | | [CDOT Colorado Road Cameras](https://marlvel.ai/apps/cdot-colorado-road-cameras) | 5.0/5 | N/A | Brite Technologies | | [Find My Friends Phone - iMapp](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-unwite-onthemap) | 4.2/5 | Mixed | Awared SLU | | [전국 시외버스 승차권 통합 예매(버스타고)](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-ebcard-bustago) | 1.6/5 | N/A | EZL Corp. | | [손편지 - 내 손안에 편의점 지도](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--288) | N/A/5 | N/A | GEONJU CHOI | | [탐나는맵](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-tamnann-tamnannmapapp) | 3.3/5 | N/A | hyunseo Jung | ## Company Profile - **Developer:** Ramalingam Sivaramakrishnan - **Website:** [https://on.fb.me/1QaYbdY](https://on.fb.me/1QaYbdY) - **Social:** [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p) · [Facebook](https://facebook.com/piknikusa) · [X/Twitter](https://twitter.com/piknikusa) ## Data Sources & Links - **App Store:** [View on Apple Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/simple-compass-your-direction/id1077626093?uo=4) - **Dev Site:** [Official Website](https://on.fb.me/1QaYbdY) - **Sources:** About us / company information, App store metadata, User reviews. ## Related Intel Reports - [*CDOT Colorado Road Cameras*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/cdot-colorado-road-cameras) (Brite Technologies) · 5.0/5 Rating - [*Find My Friends Phone - iMapp*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-unwite-onthemap) (Awared SLU) · 4.2/5 Rating - [*전국 시외버스 승차권 통합 예매(버스타고)*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-ebcard-bustago) (EZL Corp.) · 1.6/5 Rating - [*손편지 - 내 손안에 편의점 지도*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--288) (GEONJU CHOI) · N/A Rating - [*탐나는맵*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-tamnann-tamnannmapapp) (hyunseo Jung) · 3.3/5 Rating - [*0-60 Drag Race Timer: GPS*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/0-60-drag-race-timer-gps) (Rui Pedro Correia) · N/A Rating | Excellent Sentiment - [*10-4 by WEX*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-wex-backoff) (WEX, Inc.) · 4.8/5 Rating - [*13:20:Sync*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-redhouseamsterdam-mayaapp) (The RedHouse Apps) · 4.9/5 Rating - [*23d GPS*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/23d-gps) (Shane Moore) · N/A Rating - [*360Finder - Real-time Locator*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/360finder-real-time-locator) (HONG KONG NOBLE LIMITED) · N/A Rating ## Frequently Asked Questions {#faq} ### Is Simple Compass-Your Direction accurate for navigation?
