With a 2.88/5 rating from 17 reviews, it faces significant user friction. > **Bottom Line:** Minima is a legacy utility that no longer functions reliably, as the persistent save-process failures and quality degradation drive negative sentiment that the developer has not addressed in over a decade. **Best for:** Social media users who frequently upload photos and videos to platforms like Instagram and Twitter and need to manage file sizes. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [SUNSET] Sunset the current codebase because the 10-year maintenance gap and critical save-process failures make recovery cost-prohibitive → reallocate resources to new product development. ### Outlook: Declining The market for standalone media resizers is consolidating as mobile operating systems integrate these capabilities natively. Minima's lack of updates leaves it unable to compete, signaling that the product has reached the end of its lifecycle. - 🔴 The 10-year update gap confirms the app is in permanent maintenance mode, which prevents resolution of critical save-process bugs. - 🔴 Persistent user reports of image quality degradation and export failures indicate the app no longer meets basic functional requirements. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Overall Rating | 2.88/5 | | Total Reviews | 17 | | Sentiment | Frustrated (35/100) | | Confidence | Medium | | Pricing Model | Freemium | | Platforms | iOS | | Key Features | 3 analyzed | | Trend | Stable | | Outlook | Declining | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **Minima - Image & VIdeo Resizer** (this app) | 2.88/5 | Frustrated | Daniel V.W | | [AI Catch: AI Video Generator](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-prominent-aicatch) | 4.4/5 | n/a | Prominent Fortune PTE.
