(Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} Screen Recorder ™ Record Shot is a photo & video app that is free with in-app purchases. With a 4.37/5 rating from 2.2K reviews, it draws more critical themes in recent reviews than its store average suggests. > **Bottom Line:** Screen Recorder ™ Record Shot relies on its core recording utility to retain users, but the 14-month development silence and reported save-failures threaten the user base. Addressing the stability issues would unlock the retention potential currently suppressed by technical churn. **Best for:** Content creators and mobile users looking to record gameplay, tutorials, or reaction videos on iOS devices. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [INVEST] Ship stability patch for save-failure bugs because they are the top-cited complaint → reduce churn ### Outlook: Declining The screen recording market is consolidating around tools with frequent live-ops and stability updates. Screen Recorder ™ Record Shot remains in maintenance mode, which leaves it vulnerable to any rival that offers a reliable, crash-free experience. - 🔴 The 14-month update gap (no releases since June 2025) prevents the app from addressing critical save-failure bugs, which erodes the core value proposition. - 🔴 Persistent user complaints regarding deceptive subscription practices and difficult cancellation flows create long-term brand damage that will suppress new-user conversion. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Overall Rating | 4.37/5 | | Total Reviews | 2.2K | | Sentiment | Frustrated (25/100) | | Confidence | Medium | | Pricing Model | Freemium | | Platforms | iOS | | Key Features | 3 analyzed | | Trend | Declining | | Outlook | Declining | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **Screen Recorder ™ Record Shot** (this app) | 4.37/5 | Frustrated | Pretty Boa Media Ltd | | [AI Catch: AI Video Generator](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-prominent-aicatch) | 4.4/5 | n/a | Prominent Fortune PTE.
