(Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} ABA/AOU Bird Codes is a reference app that is a paid app. It holds a 5/5 rating from 1 review. > **Bottom Line:** ABA/AOU Bird Codes provides a stable, specialized utility for field researchers, but the lack of recent feature investment leaves it vulnerable to free web-based alternatives that may eventually capture its professional user base. **Best for:** Ornithologists, bird banders, and field researchers requiring quick access to standardized bird reporting codes. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [INVEST] Audit user-requested features because the app has been in maintenance mode for over 400 days → assess viability of a feature refresh ### Outlook: Stable The reference tool market for ornithology is consolidating around established, reliable databases. ABA/AOU Bird Codes remains advantaged by its offline-first design, but the lack of recent updates risks losing ground to web-based competitors that offer more frequent data refreshes. - ⚪ The 400-day update gap indicates a maintenance-only posture, which limits the ability to respond to new ornithological data standards. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Overall Rating | 5/5 | | Total Reviews | 1 | | Sentiment | Thrilled (90/100) | | Confidence | Medium | | Pricing Model | Paid | | Platforms | iOS & Android | | Key Features | 3 analyzed | | Trend | Stable | | Outlook | Stable | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **ABA/AOU Bird Codes** (this app) | 5/5 | Thrilled | Schechter Natural History LLC | | [올어바웃성경](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-allabout-bibleapp) | 5.0/5 | N/A | Gilju Lee | | [Hallow: Prayer & Meditation](https://marlvel.ai/apps/hallow-prayer-meditation) | 4.7/5 | n/a | Hallow, Inc. | | [고려대 한국어 속담 사전](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--428) | N/A/5 | N/A | DaolSoft, Co., Ltd. | | [우리말 의학사전](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--427) | N/A/5 | N/A | DaolSoft, Co., Ltd. | | [공인중개사 용어사전](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--429) | N/A/5 | N/A | DaolSoft, Co., Ltd. | ## Company Profile - **Developer:** Schechter Natural History LLC - **Website:** [https://schechterguides.com/](https://schechterguides.com/) - **Social:** [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/schechterguides) · [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/schechternaturalhistory) · [X/Twitter](https://twitter.com/schechterguides) · [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch) ## Data Sources & Links - **App Store:** [View on Apple Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/aba-aou-bird-codes/id1523235152?uo=4) - **Google Play:** [View on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.schechter.natural.history.bird.codes&hl=en&gl=us) - **Dev Site:** [Official Website](https://schechterguides.com/) - **Sources:** Developer website content, App store metadata, User reviews. ## Related Intel Reports - [*올어바웃성경*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-allabout-bibleapp) (Gilju Lee) · 5.0/5 Rating - [*Hallow: Prayer & Meditation*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/hallow-prayer-meditation) (Hallow, Inc.) · 4.7/5 Rating - [*고려대 한국어 속담 사전*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--428) (DaolSoft, Co., Ltd.) · N/A Rating - [*우리말 의학사전*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--427) (DaolSoft, Co., Ltd.) · N/A Rating - [*공인중개사 용어사전*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--429) (DaolSoft, Co., Ltd.) · N/A Rating - [*브리태니커 콘사이스 백과사전*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--425) (DaolSoft, Co., Ltd.) · N/A Rating - [*100 Radio Hrvatska (HR) : Vijesti, glazba, Nogomet*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/100-radio-hrvatska-hr-vijesti-glazba-nogomet) (Thomas Gesland) · 1.0/5 Rating - [*100 US Citizenship Test Questions 2017*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/100-us-citizenship-test-questions-2017) (Andrey Fetisov) · 4.7/5 Rating - [*١٠١ پرسیار لە زانستی قورئان*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--952) (Abdulwahab F.
