(Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} Old Comrades is a social networking app that is completely free. > **Bottom Line:** Old Comrades relies on its veteran-only trust barrier to retain members, but the current interface complexity prevents new users from reaching that value. Simplifying the onboarding flow would unlock the community's potential by reducing the immediate churn rate. **Best for:** Older veterans of the United Kingdom Armed Services and the Merchant Navy seeking social connection and support. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [PIVOT] Rebuild onboarding flow because interface complexity is the top churn driver → increase new-user retention ### Outlook: Mixed The veteran social space is consolidating around platforms that offer high-trust environments with modern usability. Old Comrades remains exposed: without a pivot to simplify its interface, the platform will struggle to retain new users despite its unique veteran-only value proposition. - 🔴 The latest update provides only generic bug fixes, leaving the primary navigation friction unaddressed and stalling user growth. - ⚪ The current maintenance-only cadence suggests a lack of active feature investment, which limits the platform's ability to compete with modern social apps. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Total Reviews | 0 | | Sentiment | Mixed (50/100) | | Confidence | Medium | | Pricing Model | Free | | Platforms | iOS & Android | | Key Features | 3 analyzed | | Outlook | Mixed | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **Old Comrades** (this app) | N/A/5 | Mixed | Royal Hospital Chelsea Appeal Limited | | [Life360: Family Safety & GPS](https://marlvel.ai/apps/life360-stay-connected-safe) | 4.8/5 | n/a | Life360 | | [Bump - real life is happening](https://marlvel.ai/apps/bump-hang-with-friends-irl) | 4.8/5 | n/a | amo | | [Findo - Phone Location Tracker](https://marlvel.ai/apps/findo-find-my-friends-phone) | 4.4/5 | n/a | BPMobile | | [iSharing: GPS Location Tracker](https://marlvel.ai/apps/isharing-gps-location-tracker) | 4.7/5 | n/a | ISHARINGSOFT, INC. | | [Ownmates](https://marlvel.ai/apps/ownmates) | 4.3/5 | N/A | Ownmates Ltd | ## Company Profile - **Developer:** Royal Hospital Chelsea Appeal Limited - **Website:** [https://oldcomrades.com/](https://oldcomrades.com/) - **Social:** [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch) ## Data Sources & Links - **App Store:** [View on Apple Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/old-comrades/id6743498838?uo=4) - **Google Play:** [View on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mightybell.chelseapensioners) - **Dev Site:** [Official Website](https://oldcomrades.com/) - **Sources:** Developer website content, App store metadata, User reviews. ## Related Intel Reports - [*Life360: Family Safety & GPS*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/life360-stay-connected-safe) (Life360) · 4.8/5 Rating - [*Bump - real life is happening*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/bump-hang-with-friends-irl) (amo) · 4.8/5 Rating - [*Findo - Phone Location Tracker*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/findo-find-my-friends-phone) (BPMobile) · 4.4/5 Rating - [*iSharing: GPS Location Tracker*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/isharing-gps-location-tracker) (ISHARINGSOFT, INC.) · 4.7/5 Rating - [*Ownmates*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/ownmates) (Ownmates Ltd) · 4.3/5 Rating - [*Peer*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/peer) (Peer, Inc.) · 2.6/5 Rating - [*비둘기*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-ndg-bidoolgi) (TEAM42 CO., LTD.) · 1.0/5 Rating - [*어바웃*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-about-studyaboutapp) (seung ju lee) · N/A Rating - [*브런치 - 좋은 글과 작가를 만나보세요*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--795) (Kakao Corp.) · 4.7/5 Rating - [*センシル*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--281) (cocone ONE corporation) · 4.2/5 Rating ## Frequently Asked Questions {#faq} ### Is Old Comrades free to use?
