(Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} Distance Laser is an utilities app that is completely free. It holds a 4.33/5 rating from 12 reviews. > **Bottom Line:** Distance Laser provides a reliable, offline-first measurement utility, but the lack of a monetization path or recent feature expansion limits its long-term viability as a standalone product. **Best for:** Construction professionals, architects, engineers, and DIY enthusiasts requiring precise spatial measurements. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [INVEST] Introduce a Pro tier because the current free model lacks revenue generation → capture value from professional users ### Outlook: Stable The spatial measurement market is increasingly dominated by native OS features, leaving standalone utilities like Distance Laser in a defensive posture. Without a clear monetization strategy or a shift toward active feature development, the app will likely remain a static utility with limited market share growth. - ⚪ The 5-month maintenance-only update cadence indicates the developer is not actively scaling the product, which limits long-term growth potential. - 🔴 The absence of a monetization layer prevents the developer from funding the feature development required to compete with native OS measurement tools. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Overall Rating | 4.33/5 | | Total Reviews | 12 | | Sentiment | Thrilled (90/100) | | Confidence | Medium | | Pricing Model | Free | | Platforms | iOS | | Key Features | 3 analyzed | | Trend | Stable | | Outlook | Stable | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **Distance Laser** (this app) | 4.33/5 | Thrilled | IQDigital | | [Sota Connect: Secure Network](https://marlvel.ai/apps/fi-catconnect-sota) | 4.9/5 | N/A | Cat Connect | | [avoVPN Desktop](https://marlvel.ai/apps/avovpn-desktop) | N/A/5 | N/A | Avocado VPN Technologies | | [Free VPN by Free VPN .org™](https://marlvel.ai/apps/free-vpn-by-free-vpn-org) | 4.5/5 | Mixed | Free VPN LLC | | [Fusvob VPN : Super VPN 2026](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-toplinkc-foxexcellent) | 4.4/5 | Mixed | Fuxin Technology | | [Potatso](https://marlvel.ai/apps/potatso) | 4.4/5 | n/a | Potatso Lab LTD | ## Company Profile - **Developer:** IQDigital - **Website:** [https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/iqdigital/id1848960885?uo=4](https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/iqdigital/id1848960885?uo=4) ## Data Sources & Links - **App Store:** [View on Apple Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/distance-laser/id6754825942?uo=4) - **Dev Site:** [Official Website](https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/iqdigital/id1848960885?uo=4) - **Sources:** Developer website content, App store metadata, User reviews. ## Related Intel Reports - [*Sota Connect: Secure Network*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/fi-catconnect-sota) (Cat Connect) · 4.9/5 Rating - [*avoVPN Desktop*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/avovpn-desktop) (Avocado VPN Technologies) · N/A Rating - [*Free VPN by Free VPN .org™*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/free-vpn-by-free-vpn-org) (Free VPN LLC) · 4.5/5 Rating - [*Fusvob VPN : Super VPN 2026*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-toplinkc-foxexcellent) (Fuxin Technology) · 4.4/5 Rating - [*Potatso*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/potatso) (Potatso Lab LTD) · 4.4/5 Rating - [*Quantumult X*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/quantumult-x) (Cross Utility Ltd) · 3.8/5 Rating - [*V2Box - V2ray Client*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/v2box-v2ray-client) (techlaim) · 4.6/5 Rating - [*카톡 분석 - 오픈채팅, 카톡 채팅 분석, 통계, 검색*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-liger-katalkanalysispaid) (Park Sung Cheol) · N/A Rating - [*로또 황금번호 생성기*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/lotto-lottogold) (jaehwan lee) · N/A Rating - [*도사폰 (만세력 역학도구)*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/app--656) (Softchaser Company Limited) · 5.0/5 Rating ## Frequently Asked Questions {#faq} ### Is Distance Laser free to use?
