The reliance on a single major update in the last six months signals a maintenance-focused posture rather than aggressive growth. ## Monetization Strategy - **Model:** Freemium - **Tiers:** Free mode with limited file processing, In-app purchase to remove processing limitations - **Analysis:** The freemium model uses a processing-volume gate to convert users who need to manage large photo libraries. ## SWOT Analysis {#swot} **Core Strengths:** - Non-destructive export preserves original media integrity - Local-only OCR processing removes privacy barriers - Automated folder organization provides clear library utility **Growth Levers:** - Localized pricing could capture untapped high-ARPU markets - Cloud storage integration would reduce file-transfer friction ## What's New - **Latest (v3.3, 3 weeks ago):** Introduced advanced export tools including video watermarking, metadata scrubbing, file renaming templates, time zone adjustment, and automated folder organization. ## App Momentum (Maintenance) {#momentum} - Shipped video watermarking and rename templates. - Maintains maintenance-mode release cadence. > **Cadence:** 1 total versions · 1 majors in last 6 months · 25 days since last update ## The "So What?" (Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} PhotoRex - Edit Dates in Bulk is an utilities app that is free with in-app purchases. It holds a 4.5/5 rating from 2 reviews. > **Bottom Line:** PhotoRex provides a reliable, non-destructive utility for metadata management, but the lack of active development risks obsolescence against native OS features. Focusing on funnel conversion would unlock the revenue potential of its privacy-first differentiator. **Best for:** Users managing large photo and video collections who need to fix incorrect timestamps, organize files, or strip metadata before sharing. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [INVEST] Audit user onboarding because the low review count suggests a discovery or conversion bottleneck → increase install-to-purchase conversion ### Outlook: Stable The metadata utility market is consolidating as mobile operating systems integrate more native organization tools. PhotoRex remains advantaged by its privacy-first, local-only processing, but it must increase its visibility to survive the shift toward native functionality. - ⚪ The latest release introduced advanced export tools, signaling that development is active but focused on utility rather than rapid iteration. - 🔴 A dormant release cadence leaves the app vulnerable to OS-level updates that could render its metadata-correction tools redundant. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Overall Rating | 4.5/5 | | Total Reviews | 2 | | Confidence | Low | | Pricing Model | Freemium | | Platforms | iOS | | Key Features | 3 analyzed | | Outlook | Stable | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **PhotoRex - Edit Dates in Bulk** (this app) | 4.5/5 | N/A | Aidaluu Inc. | | [Sota Connect: Secure Network](https://marlvel.ai/apps/fi-catconnect-sota) | 4.9/5 | N/A | Cat Connect | | [V2Box - V2ray Client](https://marlvel.ai/apps/v2box-v2ray-client) | 4.6/5 | n/a | techlaim | | [avoVPN Desktop](https://marlvel.ai/apps/avovpn-desktop) | N/A/5 | N/A | Avocado VPN Technologies | | [Free VPN by Free VPN .org™](https://marlvel.ai/apps/free-vpn-by-free-vpn-org) | 4.5/5 | Mixed | Free VPN LLC | | [Fusvob VPN : Super VPN 2026](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-toplinkc-foxexcellent) | 4.5/5 | Mixed | Fuxin Technology | ## Company Profile - **Developer:** Aidaluu Inc. - **Website:** [https://www.aidaluu.com/photorex/](https://www.aidaluu.com/photorex/) - **Social:** [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/playlist) ## Data Sources & Links - **App Store ID:** 1592905074 - **Dev Site:** [Official Website](https://www.aidaluu.com/photorex/) - **Sources:** Developer website content, App store metadata. ## Related Intel Reports - [*Sota Connect: Secure Network*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/fi-catconnect-sota) (Cat Connect) · 4.9/5 Rating - [*V2Box - V2ray Client*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/v2box-v2ray-client) (techlaim) · 4.6/5 Rating - [*avoVPN Desktop*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/avovpn-desktop) (Avocado VPN Technologies) · N/A Rating - [*Free VPN by Free VPN .org™*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/free-vpn-by-free-vpn-org) (Free VPN LLC) · 4.5/5 Rating - [*Fusvob VPN : Super VPN 2026*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-toplinkc-foxexcellent) (Fuxin Technology) · 4.5/5 Rating - [*Potatso*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/potatso) (Potatso Lab LTD) · 4.4/5 Rating - [*Quantumult X*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/quantumult-x) (Cross Utility Ltd) · 3.8/5 Rating - [*VPN 365-Master WIFI Security*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/vpn-365-master-wifi-security) (vpn fast) · 4.6/5 Rating - [*카톡 분석 - 오픈채팅, 카톡 채팅 분석, 통계, 검색*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-liger-katalkanalysispaid) (Park Sung Cheol) · N/A Rating - [*로또 황금번호 생성기*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/lotto-lottogold) (jaehwan lee) · N/A Rating ## Frequently Asked Questions {#faq} ### Is PhotoRex safe for my private photos?
