(Strategic Takeaway) {#so-what} The Paint Picker is an utilities app that is completely free. It holds a 4.74/5 rating from 89 reviews. > **Bottom Line:** The Paint Picker provides high-value utility for miniature hobbyists, but the four-year development gap leaves the product vulnerable to more active, integrated competitors. Maintaining the existing database is the priority, as the current lack of monetization suggests the tool serves primarily as a personal brand-building asset. **Best for:** Wargamers and miniature hobbyists looking for color theory guidance to paint their armies. ### PM Action Plan (Next Best Moves) - [ ] [MAINTAIN] Audit database for outdated paint lines because the last update was in 2022 → maintain utility value ### Outlook: Stable Users report: The wargaming utility market is consolidating around tools that offer integrated army-list management and cloud-syncing. The Paint Picker remains a stable, niche utility, but its lack of updates since 2022 leaves it exposed to competitors that offer more frequent database refreshes and community features. - ⚪ The four-year maintenance-only cadence signals that the developer is not pursuing active growth, which limits the app's ability to compete with newer, cloud-integrated hobby tools. ## Key Metrics Summary | Metric | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Overall Rating | 4.74/5 | | Total Reviews | 89 | | Sentiment | Thrilled (90/100) | | Confidence | Medium | | Pricing Model | Free | | Platforms | iOS | | Key Features | 3 analyzed | | Outlook | Stable | ## Competitor Comparison | App | Rating | Sentiment | Developer | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | **The Paint Picker** (this app) | 4.74/5 | Thrilled | Aaron Tunney | | [Sota Connect: Secure Network](https://marlvel.ai/apps/fi-catconnect-sota) | 4.9/5 | N/A | Cat Connect | | [V2Box - V2ray Client](https://marlvel.ai/apps/v2box-v2ray-client) | 4.6/5 | n/a | techlaim | | [avoVPN Desktop](https://marlvel.ai/apps/avovpn-desktop) | N/A/5 | N/A | Avocado VPN Technologies | | [Free VPN by Free VPN .org™](https://marlvel.ai/apps/free-vpn-by-free-vpn-org) | 4.5/5 | Mixed | Free VPN LLC | | [Fusvob VPN : Super VPN 2026](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-toplinkc-foxexcellent) | 4.5/5 | Mixed | Fuxin Technology | ## Company Profile - **Developer:** Aaron Tunney - **Website:** [https://paintpicker.strikingly.com](https://paintpicker.strikingly.com) ## Data Sources & Links - **App Store ID:** 1386071951 - **Dev Site:** [Official Website](https://paintpicker.strikingly.com) - **Sources:** Developer website content, App store metadata, User reviews. ## Related Intel Reports - [*Sota Connect: Secure Network*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/fi-catconnect-sota) (Cat Connect) · 4.9/5 Rating - [*V2Box - V2ray Client*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/v2box-v2ray-client) (techlaim) · 4.6/5 Rating - [*avoVPN Desktop*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/avovpn-desktop) (Avocado VPN Technologies) · N/A Rating - [*Free VPN by Free VPN .org™*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/free-vpn-by-free-vpn-org) (Free VPN LLC) · 4.5/5 Rating - [*Fusvob VPN : Super VPN 2026*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-toplinkc-foxexcellent) (Fuxin Technology) · 4.5/5 Rating - [*Potatso*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/potatso) (Potatso Lab LTD) · 4.4/5 Rating - [*Quantumult X*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/quantumult-x) (Cross Utility Ltd) · 3.8/5 Rating - [*VPN 365-Master WIFI Security*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/vpn-365-master-wifi-security) (vpn fast) · 4.6/5 Rating - [*카톡 분석 - 오픈채팅, 카톡 채팅 분석, 통계, 검색*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/com-liger-katalkanalysispaid) (Park Sung Cheol) · N/A Rating - [*로또 황금번호 생성기*](https://marlvel.ai/apps/lotto-lottogold) (jaehwan lee) · N/A Rating ## Frequently Asked Questions {#faq} ### Is The Paint Picker suitable for beginners?
