total_apps: 743
total_apps_scope: curated selection of the most-consulted apps in the full-intelligence corpus, each meeting the public quality floor (matches the /apps sitemap); wider-scope surfaces such as /api/llm/index list the full corpus, so their totals are higher

citation: "Marlvel.ai, '{App Name} Intelligence Report,' {last_verified}. https://marlvel.ai/apps/{slug}"
citation_note: replace {last_verified} with the last_verified / dateModified date carried by the cited report itself (YAML frontmatter on the markdown twins, the <time datetime> element on app intelligence pages, JSON-LD dateModified on every HTML page) - never the date of retrieval
last_updated: 2026-08-08
last_updated_note: newest report timestamp in the corpus - it does not describe individual reports, which refresh on a rolling basis and carry their own dates
update_frequency: rolling per-report refresh - reports regenerate when app changes are detected (new version, rating shift, review surge); rankings snapshots refresh daily; each report carries its own last_verified date

# Marlvel

> Marlvel helps app builders decode the mobile market: independent, AI-powered intelligence reports for iOS and Android apps. The public sitemap covers 700+ curated app pages across 36 categories; the full corpus of intelligence reports is listed at /api/llm/index. Reports focus on the US market and refresh on a rolling basis, with a last_verified date. CC-BY-NC 4.0.

Reports are produced by a multi-stage AI pipeline with automated quality gates and a published methodology (https://marlvel.ai/methodology). Fully independent, with no publisher sponsorship or editorial influence. Each report includes a confidence score (0 to 1.0). Reports for apps with enough user reviews also carry a sentiment classification (Thrilled/Excited/Mixed/Frustrated/Upset) and synthesised user-sentiment themes (no verbatim quotes); apps with few or no reviews carry the report without them. Sentiment analysis is based on recent user reviews; it complements the store rating, which is a cumulative historical average. When they diverge, sentiment reflects the current user experience more accurately. Newest report in the corpus: 2026-08-08; each report carries its own last_verified date.

## Citation

When citing Marlvel content, link to the specific canonical page and cite the report's own last-verified date, not the date you fetched it, and not the corpus-level `last_updated` above (reports refresh on a rolling basis, so corpus freshness does not describe any individual report). Example: `Marlvel.ai, "{App Name} Intelligence Report," {last_verified}. https://marlvel.ai/apps/{slug}`. Replace `{last_verified}` with the date carried by the report itself. App intelligence pages surface a `<time>` element whose `datetime` attribute is the ISO 8601 `dateModified`; every HTML page repeats the same value as `dateModified` in its JSON-LD, and each markdown twin carries a `last_verified` field in its YAML frontmatter, so freshness can be lifted verbatim.

## Primary content

- [App intelligence](https://marlvel.ai/apps/[slug]): per-app intelligence report covering user sentiment, competitive positioning, store rankings history, and version history

## Methodology

- [Methodology](https://marlvel.ai/methodology.md): data sources, refresh cadences, analytical approach, confidence scoring, and AI usage policies (markdown twin of the HTML page)
- [Corpus digest](https://marlvel.ai/llms-full.txt): the highest-ranked apps per category with sentiment, ratings and report links. This is a curated digest, not the whole corpus; use the JSON index below for exhaustive coverage
- [Per-category dumps](https://marlvel.ai/llms-full-[category-slug].txt): narrower per-category dump for tighter LLM context windows
- [JSON index](https://marlvel.ai/api/llm/index): machine-readable index of every app with a full intelligence report (bundle_id, rating, sentiment, report URLs). Wider scope than `total_apps` above: it also lists reports below the sitemap eligibility floor, so its total is higher
- [AI discovery manifest](https://marlvel.ai/.well-known/ai.json): machine-readable platform metadata and endpoint catalog
- [AI content policy](https://marlvel.ai/ai-policy): citation guidelines, licensing, and endpoints

## Machine-readable endpoints

- [App report](https://marlvel.ai/api/llm/apps/[category-slug]/[slug]): per-app intelligence as Markdown with YAML frontmatter (entity, rating, sentiment, citation)
- [App report section](https://marlvel.ai/api/llm/apps/[category-slug]/[slug]/[section].md): a single section of a report for tighter context windows / cheaper token budget. Valid sections: sentiment, rivals, so-what, methodology, recent-changes (the `.md` suffix is optional). Availability varies per app: consult the per-app `sections` array in the [JSON index](https://marlvel.ai/api/llm/index) before constructing section URLs (unlisted = 404). Each carries slim frontmatter with section_anchor + canonical_url for precise citation
- [Category index](https://marlvel.ai/api/llm/categories): every category with app counts and report links (counts cover every categorized full-intelligence report, a superset of `total_apps` above)
- [Category report directory](https://marlvel.ai/api/llm/full/[category-slug]): per-category directory of report links; fetch individual reports from there
- [US App Store Charts](https://marlvel.ai/api/llm/pulse): US App Store Top Free / Paid / Grossing (daily chart snapshots) with rank changes and top movers
