v11.3
- Staff can now create orders for same-store pickup directly from the POS cart, and those orders connect to your buy online, pickup in store flow and customer notifications. - We added Tap to Pay for merchants with multiple legal entities so you can accept contactless payments across all of them. - We updated cash management with register-based sessions, native cash tracking, reason-coded adjustments, and new tools for automating custom workflows. - We enabled cashing out gift cards under $15 where permitted in parts of the US and Canada. - We added the ability to reprint past receipts for sales, returns, and exchanges exactly as they were first printed. - Merchants in France must now install and activate the Comply app before processing any transaction to meet NF525 rules. - We updated POS receipts for merchants in France and Spain so printed receipts show itemized VAT rates and a full VAT summary table by default. - We updated product search to suggest words as you type. This is in limited release for select merchants. - We added support for Epson TM-T88 IV through VII receipt printers through POS Hub or over your network. - We updated the POS Terminal so it can authorize card payments with the processor when POS is in offline checkout mode.

Who is Shopify?
Shopify has successfully transitioned from a web-based backend to a mobile-first commerce operating system that bridges the gap between merchant utilities and consumer discovery. Their strategic moat lies in the vertical integration of payments, logistics tracking, and AI-driven business tools that create a high-friction exit for merchants. A key strategic signal is the aggressive expansion of their consumer-facing 'Shop' app, which positions the company as a direct-to-consumer marketplace powerhouse rather than just an infrastructure provider.
