What Is Blossom: Portfolio Tracker?

Blossom: Portfolio Tracker is a finance application that combines automated investment tracking with a social networking layer, specifically designed for DIY investors. By allowing users to sync brokerage accounts and view the verified portfolios of other investors, Blossom positions itself as a transparency-focused alternative to traditional, isolated portfolio trackers. Targeting beginners and long-term wealth builders, the app emphasizes financial literacy through gamified education and community engagement. Its primary differentiator is its "social investing" model, which removes the guesswork from trading by providing a window into the strategies of successful peers and educators. Despite its strong value proposition, the product is currently facing significant friction due to technical instability in onboarding and data synchronization.

Pain Points

Account Registration and Login Issues

I’ve tried 30 different nicknames and somehow every single one has the same prompt “that name is already taken”

Every time I’ve tried to sign in... it won’t let me just gives me the option to log out or try again which has failed

Brokerage Syncing and Data Reliability

I just tried linking THREE DIFFERENT BROKERS... and absolutely none of them were able to connect

This app removed Vanguard from their linkable brokerages. No warning or anything.
