“Recent user voice shows a frustrated sentiment. Users appreciate high-quality recipes & weaning guides and categorization & filtering, but report app freezing, crashing & blank screens and registration & login failures.”
What Users Love
Packed with recipes—from baby's first food to healthy family meals.
This is genuinely amazing for anyone weaning a baby. Whether puree or baby led weaning, you'll find a tonne of nutritious recipes.
I love that it's broken down into sections by age or what kind of meal you need.
It's easy to filter allergies and search by ingredient if you're after something specific.
It also has an allergy calendar tracker which is really handy for tracking which allergens you've tested.
Tells you what ways to prepare/cut certain foods for that child's age range.
Pain Points
App just freezes and doesn't allow anything to be viewed or navigated.
Every section is blank. All my favorite recipes are gone. And it’s been like this for days now.
Was not able to register! After putting in all the information necessary to register, there is no next button.
Since the latest update my password is no longer accepted in the app.
I have been unable to access the content I am paying for, as the application is always frozen upon launch.
Straight away it asking for a subscription of $50 a year. I paid about $25 for her books.
The app only includes the metric system. It takes time to convert every ingredient into the US measuring system.
Wish you guys can include the both American and European metric systems.

What is the market outlook?
Growth Opportunities
- Competitors can easily poach highly frustrated, paying users by offering a stable, bug-free alternative with similar recipes.
- Adding US measurement conversions could unlock better retention and acquisition in the North American market.
- Fixing technical debt could immediately reverse the downward grossing trend and restore subscription renewals.
Market Threats
- Modern, tech-native competitors like Solid Starts are capturing the modern parent demographic with superior UX/UI.
- High churn risk: Users are actively canceling subscriptions due to the inability to access paid content.
- Brand damage: Persistent app bugs are eroding the premium trust associated with the Annabel Karmel name.
