Executive Summary
GoodLinks is a premium, privacy-focused reading application for the Apple ecosystem that allows users to save and organize content without proprietary accounts or tracking. By utilizing iCloud for sync and offering a one-time purchase model, it effectively targets privacy-conscious power users who are fatigued by subscription-based productivity tools.
While the app is highly regarded for its simplicity and ethical pricing, it currently faces a declining sentiment trend due to recent UI/UX regressions and a lack of advanced organizational features. To maintain its competitive edge, the developer must balance its "simple" philosophy with the requested power-user features like smart folders and RSS integration.

Allows saving articles from any app via the system-wide share extension.
Allows users to log in to paywalled sites within the app to access content.

It’s a one time purchase for the best reading app ever.
I very much appreciate not having to continue another subscription.
Works seamless across my Apple devices (Mac, iPhone).
It seems to be much more consistent at updating the newest additions made on my iPad to that of my Mac.
1000x better than Pocket every was!
I switched to this when GetPocket disappeared. No regrets.
Top Complaints (Impact Areas)
It lacks a few features that would make it a perfect alternative for me. First, Folders, specifically smart folders.
Love this app! Now just make it a one stop shop with RSS built in like Reeder.
Pull down is search??? Instead of refresh?
Sorting by recent usage. Worst decision ever. Unusable without alphabetical sorting.
Any link I attempt to open from the app... the app immediately crashes upon loading the link.
This new version STILL has the bugs that it doesn’t save my articles when i share from safari and it just keeps spinning.
Monetization Intel
Model: paid
A hybrid model that avoids recurring subscriptions for core functionality, appealing to users who dislike 'SaaS-fatigue' while offering a sustainable path for long-term development.
