This is actually a bigger update than it appears on the outside.  There have been some UI improvements for iPad and some minor tweaks in other areas, but most of the changes are under the hood to update parts of the code for the future.  We're trying hard to keep Air Wings running, so this update contains a lot of things to ensure that.

Fixed a crash bug and fixed some issues with location services.

Fixed a Location Services bug which was preventing the player map and player location information from showing up.

Updated for iOS 26 including a new icon and UI elements throughout the game.  We're also introducing a new experimental feature called "Free Play Fridays" where every Friday anyone can play any level with any airplane for free all day and night regardless of whether you've purchased anything.

Reverted the default number of Game Center AutoMatch players to 4 in the hopes a bug introduced in iOS 16 has been fixed in iOS 17.  For iOS 16 we had to make the default AutoMatch be 2 players instead of the usual 4 to get around the issue.

A recent bug in Game Center was causing 4-way Auto-Matches to always look for 3 players no matter what which was resulting in almost no auto matches being completed.  This update now sets the default to 2 players for the the auto matches.  Once the bug in Game Center is fixed we should be able to switch it back to 4 players.  You can still manually set the auto match to 4 players, however, it probably won't work properly while Apple works on this issue.

Added a workaround for an iOS 15 Game Center bug which prevented most friend invites and rematches to return an error message.  Now, all invitations and rematches must default to 4-player matches instead of the number of players that were invited.  So, when the Matchmaker dialog comes up you'll need to remove the excess players in the match manually until this bug is fixed in Game Center.  But the good news is that you can now rematch players again!

Found and fixed a fairly major bug with how the Player stats, preferences and other game history was being saved.

Added support for 120Hz refresh rates on devices with ProMotion displays such as the iPhone 13 and iPad Pro.

Permanently removed all ads.

We've removed all of the ads in the free version!  Well, they're gone at least for now.  We're experimenting with the idea to see if removing ads will increase the number of players online, and if it works this change will be permanent.

Fix for sudden random disconnects.

Fixed a problem with modal dialogs (like the Settings dialog) that were not appearing correctly on some newer devices.

Fixed problem with upgrades disappearing.

Improved the handling of different skill levels when playing against one another.

Added a new "Rematch" button on the Game Stats screen, so now you can easily and quickly rematch the players in the last game.  Previously, you had to select Rematch from the main menu and then manually select the players to rematch.  That option is still there, but with this new Rematch button you have a shortcut.  The button is next to the Done button in the upper-left corner of the Game Stats screen that appears at the end of a game.
