Rotoscoping! Draw or trace over images and videos in the drawing editor. The new asset layers tool lets you use images and videos as drawing templates. In addition, you can now designate inactive "scratch" layers in the drawing editor, making it easy to sketch out a rough draft of a drawing or animation, and then non-destructively draw over it to produce the finished artwork.

PLEASE UPGRADE TO THIS NEW VERSION. We've made some major changes to our back-end infrastructure, and the older versions of Do Ink Animation & Drawing are no longer supported. If you are experiencing problems, please make sure you're running version 2.1.

The new version of Do Ink Animation & Drawing uses new, faster, easier-to-maintain servers to support features such a prop searches (which will now be faster, too!). We have lots more great ideas on how to make Do Ink Animation & Drawing an even better app for creating great animations and drawings, and we can't wait to get those into your hands!

Stability improvements and bug fixes.

New in version 2.0:

Props! Props are reusable drawings and animation clips that can be incorporated into your own animations. Props let you make great animations even if you aren't a great artist. Search DoInk's extensive prop library, and when you find something you like, add it to your composition with a single tap. What's more, you can make your own reusable props and share them with everyone else!

Version 2.0 also features a revamped project view that makes it much easier to organize and manage your artwork.
