    Five New Character Sets
    Version 1.3 brings the most dramatic expansion of ASCII Camcorder's visual vocabulary yet. Five new character sets join the roster:
    
      - Braille — 256 Unicode Braille dot patterns pack maximum density into every frame, turning your footage into a tactile-looking mosaic
      - Katakana — half-width Japanese characters deliver an authentic Matrix terminal aesthetic
      - Hebrew — 28 characters with full right-to-left rendering support
      - Ukrainian — 34 Cyrillic characters for a distinctive Eastern European typographic look
      - Greek — 25 classical characters for a unique ancient-meets-digital style
    
    That brings the total to ten character sets: ASCII, Blocks, Braille, Katakana, Latin Extended, Hebrew, Ukrainian, and Greek — plus the original standards.
    
    Smarter Brightness Mapping
    Each character set now has its own brightness gamma calibration, measured by actual ink coverage per glyph. Braille dots and thin Hebrew strokes no longer wash out — the renderer compensates automatically so every character set looks vivid and contrasty without manual tweaking. All existing character sets were also re-sorted by measured ink coverage, fixing hundreds of brightness inversions in previous builds.
    
    Landscape Mode
    iPhone users can now shoot and review in landscape orientation. A compact control strip slides in from the side so the viewfinder stays unobstructed. Landscape video records at a true 1920×1080 (not a rotated 1080×1920), and the photo gallery detail view adapts its panel layout for wide screens.
    
    Terminal UI Overhaul
    The entire interface has been redesigned around a phosphor green terminal aesthetic:
    
      - Unified phosphor green accent color (no more blue elements) throughout camera view, settings panel, and gallery
      - Monospaced fonts on all labels, titles, and control panel text for an authentic terminal feel
      - Enlarged record button (80pt) with a green glow shadow and spring animation on start/stop
      - Haptic feedback on record start/stop and photo capture
      - Settings panel reworked with a near-black background, green sliders, and terminal-style Preset/Reset buttons
      - Gallery actions consolidated into long-press context menus — less clutter on-screen
      - Photos and Videos merged into a single Gallery menu in the top bar
    
    Performance & Reliability
      - Fixed a severe performance bottleneck at maximum resolution with the Blocks character set
      - Photo mode live preview now runs at the correct 30fps (was stuck at 10fps)
      - Thread safety improvements and race condition fixes across the camera pipeline
      - iPhone 16 Pro gallery menu tap targets fixed
