- A quick fix for a change in how video dates are displayed in channel details. With iOS 26.4, it seems the formatter no longer uses the XX-XX-XXXX format, so it has been adjusted to restore that format.

- Fixed an issue where live videos (green in home) didn’t update correctly after ending when refreshing.
- Added a toggle in Settings to prevent the screen from going idle.

What’s New:

- Automatic thumbnail updates: You can now enable automatic updating of video thumbnails in Settings when fetching new videos from your feeds (via the usual refresh button on the Home page).
- Thumbnail download check: A minor check has been added to prevent occasional incorrect downloads of thumbnails. This issue should no longer occur.
- Resolution change fix: Fixed the issue with video resolution changes that started yesterday (March 29) after YT made another changes.

- Added the ability to remove a bookmark by simply clicking again on the red bookmark icon. This will remove it without needing to set it elsewhere.
- In the Recover Video, a new button has been added on the right that allows viewing downloaded videos in a slightly more “detailed” way (with cover image and some info).
- The Glass Background option is no longer experimental.
- Some minor under-the-hood improvements.
- Testing and integration have begun for displaying unplayable videos with the message “playback on other websites has been disabled by the video owner.” It currently seems to work, but it’s uncertain whether it will be released in the future.

- Fixed an issue with Share+ where the background was not synced with the actual status of the video.
- [Experimental] Added a glass-effect background option in Settings. When activated, you can see a “glass” background on the Home screen (although the change is subtle).
- A few small under-the-hood tweaks.

just two little things:
- Aligned the “Latest Arrivals” label to clearly identify/show whether the content is a video or a live stream (finished).
- Added a loading indicator to the cache manager to show when the space calculation is complete.

- Improvements to Share+ when using screenshots. Screenshots now have a background more consistent with the app.

What’s new in this version:
- Introduced a new Share version. You can enable it in Settings and switch between the standard Share and Share+. With Share+, you can choose what to include when sharing a video: title, author, creation date, URL, thumbnail, or a screenshot from the Home view using the Customize button.
- Updated icons for Videos and Shorts across all filters and video lists.
- [Experimental] Added the ability to recover all videos (videos only) from a channel. Enable it in Settings. Retrieving the full list may take some time, especially for large channels. Access the feature from the channel details page. Recovered videos will automatically move to the normal video list once opened.
- Fixed graphical issues with search in Home while using filters.
- Fixed the seen/unseen counter animation in the Follow list.

- Changed the background on video search results where the light theme made it hard to see.
- Fixed an issue with resolution changes where repeatedly skipping 10s could corrupt the resolution list.

- Fix for the issue, which appeared today, 24 November, where search and retrieval of some information were broken. YT likes to shuffle the deck of cards.
- Fixed the video/channel search picker — it should no longer act up when switching selection between Video and Channel.
- Restored the normal spacing between the time slider and the top edge of its containing box.
- Aligned the "Translate" button in the video details with the others so the new iOS color changes don’t break the appearance.

- changed the behavior of the video progress bar on the video detail screen. It now moves smoothly when adjusted via tap.
- changed the color of the filter buttons on Home and Follow because on iOS 26.1 they became hard to read when activated.

- changed in the detail view the behavior where, once video upload started, the views, date and description were shifted slightly down. Now they remain fixed until the video is played, and the player controller will be positioned correctly even when videos have (new?) aspect ratios.

- fix for an issue with video descriptions where the presence of " caused spacing problems and they were then detected as changed descriptions, creating false positives
- fix for an issue where, after final updates to the player, the age-restriction message did not appear for videos that have it enabled

- just fix layout for iPhone mini devices in HomeView, Settings, and VideoDetails: player buttons (AirPlay, Fullscreen, PiP) are now positioned below the 10s button.

- Fix for the most important issue: videos not having the correct status. Now the status, error messages, etc. should be correct again.
- Fix for the issue where links inside video descriptions were incorrectly treated as markdown.

- Since YT keeps acting unpredictably for reasons that aren’t clear (not just with my app but in general), I removed the error 153 alert (red and yellow background) that appeared when trying to press play. Unfortunately this will only cause false positives (red backgrounds on the home screen) that make videos look blocked when they aren’t. For now I’ll keep it this way because I want to monitor this error. If this things ever ends, simply pressing play will cause it to auto-update itself. The error only prevents me from retrieving some information, but the playback player itself should be fine after the previous updates (especially the latest 1.4 release) I made.

- modified text selection (video description and channel description). You can now select single words or the entire text normally (manually).
- fixed channel description and video description that could display markdown incorrectly.
- where there are translate buttons (some not highly visible), a normal single tap will execute Apple's Flexible Translation API. With a long tap gesture, a choice menu will open: Translate with Apple (Translation API) or Translate with Google.
- major change to the engine to, I hope, finally prevent errors 153 and 15 even if YouTube goes haywire (like the day before yesterday), so videos can still be displayed. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve...

- Various under-the-hood improvements and other changes due to recent YouTube updates (I hope they finish).
- On Home: when you play a video while another is already playing, the previous one will now stop and close.
- in Follow: redesigned filter options — in addition to the existing filters, you can now filter a channel’s content by All, Videos only, or Shorts only.
- in Follow: added a mark-as-watched/unwatched filter. When you open the sheet to mark a channel’s videos, you can choose which videos to mark.
- Fixed a cosmetic issue with the filter button on Home.
- Settings: new option to remove or keep the shadow on the quality button (improves readability).
- Follow channel detail: added the same filters to view All, Videos, or Shorts in the list.

Note: some videos still show as unplayable (marked red) due to YouTube-side issues; they can play despite the warning (except for those that are truly blocked on the user's side). Waiting on further changes from YouTube? Maybe...

- [New feature]: when a channel has an updated avatar, a small animation will appear on the channel’s avatar in the Home screen, as well as in the Follow tab. To update it, simply go to the channel’s detail view from the Follow tab (where all the channel info is displayed).
- [New Follow screen]: it’s now possible to see the full list of videos for each channel without having to enter the channel detail view. Swipe gestures have been added to mark all videos as watched/unwatched or to delete a single channel directly. For multiple deletions, you need to enter edit mode.

- Fixed the issue where pressing the channel URL in the follow detail showed nothing.
