Bug fixes
 - Star button not announced as selectable. VoiceOver now identifies the button icon as a selectable control for marking courses as favorites.
 - Extraneous prefix announced before day of week in Calendar. VoiceOver now reads days of the week without the extraneous "Cap" prefix.
 - Filter button not detected by VoiceOver on Courses screen. The filter control on the Courses screen is now selectable and announced by VoiceOver.
 - View Profile button announced incorrectly. The View Profile button is now announced with its correct label.
 - Dismiss button not selectable in Activity Stream. The Dismiss button can now be selected and activated using VoiceOver.
 - Login error after session timeout for SAML SSO users. Users can now log in successfully after a session expires from idle timeout.

Screen reader accessibility improvements: TalkBack now announces the Star button for marking course favorites, days of the week in Calendar, and the filter button on the Courses screen.
SAML login error: Users can now log in after session timeout.
Course announcements crash: Large announcements no longer crash the app.
Calendar event screen crash: Screen no longer crashes after viewing an event.
File upload crash: Files now upload successfully.

Bug fix :
            Blackboard App not redirecting to login page on session timeout. Blackboard App closed when a session timed out, which required a user to reopen the app again to login. The app now correctly redirects to login screen when a session times out.

Bug fix
Activity Stream shows old announcement data. Stream now shows correct content when viewing new announcements.
Video Studio permission dialog loop. User can now proceed to feature's functionality instead of being re-prompted with a permission dialog.

Bug fixes:
      - Redundant LTI authentication prompts in Blackboard Ultra. When accessing Google Workspace content, users are no longer prompted to re‑authenticate their Google account for each item after they are signed in.
      - Discussion item in Calendar screen. A Discussion item navigates to corresponding Ultra page instead of showing error message.

Feature updates
   Splash Screen image update. The splash screen image displayed during app launch is updated for mobile devices. The new design reflects the Blackboard company’s new branding.
Bug fix
    Unable to open files in Original Course View on Blackboard App. After selecting a file in Original Course View, a white screen appears and no further action occurs. The file does not open.

Feature updates
 - Improved native mobile app login experience. We have enhanced the Blackboard App login experience to include biometric login capabilities and clearer communications to stay logged in. These features improve the user experience while maintaining robust security. This update is for mobile login only.
 - Modernized bottom navigation for Liquid Glass displays. Rebuilt bottom navigation to ensure full compatibility and proper rendering with the new iOS Liquid Glass–style system UI, improving visual stability and touch accuracy.
 - Localized numeric grade formatting. Grades now respect the user’s language and locale settings, displaying numeric values using the appropriate decimal separator.

Bug Fix
 - Jones & Bartlett content launch on iPhone. Content from Jones & Bartlett 4th Edition failed to open, preventing LTI content from launching correctly in Blackboard App.

Features:
 - Native Header Removal & Navigation Alignment. Blackboard App removes the native header for a cleaner look and aligns navigation with the system design, ensuring consistency across app and web.
 - Offline Content Auto-Redirection Flow. When offline, Blackboard App now automatically redirects to the offline screen for quick access to downloaded content or shows a “no content” message when nothing is available.

Features: 
 Organization filter retention. Filters and search preferences persist across sessions on the Organization landing page.
 Enhanced navigation. Slimmer nav bar auto-hides when scrolling down, reappearing when scrolling up.

 Open App option on YouTube player doesn’t open video on Blackboard App.

 - A confirmation message now is displayed when updating your email address. The original email remains displayed until verification is complete, helping you understand that the change is pending confirmation.

- Updated the minimum supported iOS version from iOS 13.0 to iOS 14.0 to enable LTI content access and align with Ultra platform changes.

In this release we've made some small improvements and squashed few bugs.

Features:
- Improvements to mobile session time outs. We made improvements to the Blackboard App authentication process to reduce the frequency of logouts and enhance user experience. After the Blackboard App 9.11 is released (December 2024), users must update the app on their devices to ensure proper functionality. Those who don’t will see a red banner informing them that their session has expired.

Bug fixes:
- Deleted LTI items still visible in the app
- Unable to launch brainfuse LTI
- Push notification doesn’t load a message

Bug Fixes
- Blackboard App fails to download uploaded content on the observer progress page.
- Blackboard App doesn’t honor an enrollment availability override for a student user trying to access a Locked course.

New Features
- Institutions can control whether users can create personal events in the Base Navigation Calendar Tool. If the privilege is not granted, only system administrators with privileges can create new events.

Bug Fixes
- Custom Language Pack not working in BbApp 9.5.
- Chinese 中文 (中国‭) Language Pack applying inconsistently.
- Users with many course enrollments get an error message when loading courses.

Users can easily follow discussions of their choice to receive timely updates on new contributions from peers or instructors. Institutions can set notification defaults for discussion activity and responses for followed discussions.

Bug Fixes:
- Messages not loading on Messages page.
- On the Discussion Board, the button to submit posts is not identified as Submit button on screen readers.
