Invites keep working after you close the invite screen. Create an invite, send it over any channel you trust, and go about your day. When the other person accepts, even hours later, they show up in your contacts the next time the app checks in, and their first messages arrive right along with them.

The invite screen now also shows how long your invite lasts before it expires.
