New: Add your own YouTube trailers!

YouTube trailers for games typically come straight from our Core database, but now you can replace the standard trailer with a trailer of your own choice, or add one if Core didn't provide one.

Just paste any YouTube URL into your the YouTube trailer link section (Edit Game > Links tab) and CLZ Games automatically grabs the thumbnail image and video description for you.

You can add as many as you like per game and drag them into your preferred order.

Fixed:
* Sync: Custom covers weren't downloaded

Faster down-syncing from CLZ Cloud:

* Syncing now down-syncs the *data* first, while queuing the *image* downloads. This makes the data sync super fast.
* Downloading the images is much quicker too, especially on fast connections, as it downloads multiple images at the same time.
* As soon as the data download has completed, you can close the Sync screen and start using the app. The image downloads will continue at the bottom of the main screen, prioritising images that are "in view".

Fixed:
* Edit Game: Links tab: Tapping next/previous game when waiting for link description could crash the app
* iPad: Edit Game: Tab titles weren’t always shown in full

Fixed:
* Crash: When a game couldn’t be located/selected on start-up or after editing the app could crash
* iPad: games sometimes wouldn’t be scrolled to after picking it from a search in your own collection
* Collection bar at the bottom could disappear on closing the sync screen
* Collection bar didn’t appear immediately when adding a new collection for the first time

Fixed:
* The scroll position in the list could be wrong after searching in own collection and tapping a result from the suggestions
* Images view: Pinch to zoom in images view was broken
* Edit screen: tapping "next" or "previous" on the Links tab would crash the app

New "One-by-One" mode for adding games by scanning barcodes:
Up till now, adding by barcode always used a "queue":
Scan barcodes to add games to a queue, then add em all in one go. Quick and efficient.

Today, we are adding a "One-by-One" mode, *without* a queue:
Scan a barcode, the game details are shown, tap Add, and instantly return to the camera screen to scan the next one. Clear and easy.

Switch between the two modes using the queue icon at the bottom right of the camera screen.

New: Automatic eBay search links:
* easily get a feel for a game's value, by finding its' Completed/Sold listings on eBay
* easily find available copies on eBay, for you to purchase (e.g. for your wish list items)

Various fixes and improvements

* New sort options for toys:
  - Toy Type, then Title
  - Toy Type, then Subtype, then Title
  - Toy Type, then Series, then Title
* Sort order is now remembered per collection type (games, hardware or toys).
* A small text link to "Add Manually" has been added on the Title tab in the Add Games / Add Hardware screens.
* Add Hardware Manually is now accessible again for "grandfathered" users. Just choose Add Hardware from the menu.

Fixed:
* Completeness field was not set correctly when adding/editing items
* Toys: Updated Values screen didn’t show the “total”
* Toys: barcodes with multiple results didn’t work
* Updated messaging/wording

This is the big one, version 10.0! New in this update:
* Catalog your Toys-to-Life figures, like amiibo, Skylanders, Disney Infinity, etc...
* Add figures by name or by scanning the box barcode
* For amiibo only: add by scanning their NFC code with your phone

Also new:
* Games, Hardware and Toys-to-Life are now always separated into their own collection tabs

Recommended security update:
* 2FA support: if you have 2FA enabled on your CLZ Account, the app will now ask you for the 2FA authenticator code when you log in to the app
* Several other changes to better secure your account
* New "Change email address" link in the CLZ Account screen

* Adding games by barcode: Multiple results for a barcode: the confirm button wasn’t working

* Tablet: Barcode scanning didn’t work while in landscape orientation

Adding games by scanning barcodes is THE main feature of the app, so we will never stop trying to improve our barcode scanner :-)

In today's 9.5 update, we bring three improvements to the barcode scanner:
1. Now reads barcodes much faster and in the entire camera screen!
2. New scanning feedback, with a red box and scan line that "follow" the detected barcode
3. New Type Barcode tab for manual barcode entry and support for external USB/BT scanners

We have changed our company name!
Previously "Collectorz.com", now just "CLZ"!
But that's not all. This week also brings:
- a new company logo and styling
- a completely new website at clz.com (previously www.collectorz.com)
- new names for our web-based software, previously called Connect, now simply CLZ Comics Web, CLZ Movies Web, CLZ Games Web, etc...
And, the reason for today's app update:
* a new app icon that fits the new CLZ styling
* new app logos and styling inside the app

Fixed:
* iPad: Edit / Sort Settings screens were too small since iOS18

Several smaller improvements:
* Statistics: nicer looking Recent Additions and Most Valuable top lists
* New folder options for all Date fields, that let you group your collectibles by Day or Month, e.g. by Purchase Month, or Added Day.
* Redesigned Sort Order screen with clearer options for choosing between ascending and descending sorting (now called "A-Z" / "Z-A", "Oldest First" / "Newest First" and "Lowest First" / "Highest First")

Fixed:
- Crash when using Maintenance / Removed unused pick list entries
- Search box: the "search-as-you-type" suggestions now take Collection Status filter into account
- Games were always added with USD values, even if the app was set to a different currency

Various tweaks and fixes

* New:
- Better indication and handling of “subscription expired” status

In this update, a smart tweak to the "Title" tab of the Add Games screen that will save you a lot of typing.
We added a new "Search for ..." entry at the top of the title suggestions dropdown, with a smart search suggestion. Basically it tries to "auto complete" what you are typing. Tap it to do a Title search on those words.

For example, just type "zel" and the "Search for" suggestion becomes "the legend of zelda". Hit that to instantly find all Legend of Zelda games.

The app now has a "free 7-day trial" again.
No more 100 item "free mode" or "free trial". We did our best to make it work, but it just didn't. So we're back to the old tried and tested "7-day trial" system :-)
(Don't worry, if you already started your free mode, it will keep working.)

Updated:
* Add Games by Title: after adding a game, the cursor will be put back in the search box straight away so you can immediately start your next search

Fixed:
* Statistics: In some cases the order under "most recent" could be wrong
