We have updated the UI to the modern appearance

We improved the map download and fixed some minor issues.

This version brings some general improvements with the background map and allows for smaller initial download.
Before using the app offline, make sure to start it once after the update to download the latest map data!

More scope, more depth: The map now covers 23,000 square kilometres (~8880 sq mi), reaching as far as Umbria and the Abruzzo – with shaded relief for a much more vivid terrain view.

Significant basemap and search index update (will now find more kinds of objects) and we also improved the basemap style.

We have updated the map of the surrounding area.

We have decided to include also places where you can eat in the search index. While the focus of our map remains on cultural features, we still feel this is a useful addition and in line with the overall concept, because food not only shapes daily life, but is also a central expression of cultural identity and tradition.

This update restores the satellite view while you are moving the map and has some small improvements in the settings.

The local search can now also search locally (no internet connection required) on the basemap, i.e. the greater Rome area. Now you can find the museums, train stations and suburban streets that Nolli forgot to put in his index – and a lot more but no hotels or restaurants, the focus is on culture.
You can now open the Apple maps app from within Nolli App by pressing long on the map and choose the Maps option.
Sharing allows again for semitransparent Nolli map overlays

This is a new major version. There is a now a bonus offline map focussing on cultural tourism and covering the larger Rome area. We have also added a transport view to visualize rail based transport around Rome.

This update improves the map panning performance considerably. It also improves handling of the user interactions and should provide you overall with an even smoother Nolli map experience.
