QuakeInfo™ now loads and refreshes data much faster than it did before; about 80% faster when loading quakes from the past week! Map scrolling is also improved, even when there are more quakes visible on screen. In addition, it's now possible to see details for a quake about which you were previously notified, even if that quake occurred before the start of the current time period.

With this update, we've added the ability to view the webpage for or share the link to EMSC quakes with others, just like you can for USGS quakes. We've also made some minor UI improvements to help make the app work and look even better.

This update includes internal improvements to make your experience with QuakeInfo™ even better.

This is a big update for QuakeInfo™ as we've improved support for iOS 26 and added some new features to make your experience even better. The map is now fullscreen on your iPhone. It looks really good, particularly when viewed with a more realistic depiction of the Earth using the hybrid and imagery map styles, also available in this update. We've even added the ability to adjust the time period and minimum magnitude directly on the map view itself, making it much easier to explore seismic activity without going back and forth to the settings tab.

On details screens, nearby quakes now provide a visual indication of when they occurred relative to the quake whose details you're currently viewing. Finally, tapping the information on the details screen for when a quake happened will toggle showing seconds. Seconds are shown by default if the quake occurred less than an hour ago, but tapping will always toggle them on or off.

We've continued making QuakeInfo™ work better for you, particularly now that subscribers can look back up to a year to find other quakes near the epicenter. This release fixes some display issues that would cause incorrect dates to be shown for quakes that occurred a year ago. We've also improved the way we show when an earthquake happened if it was around this time last year.

Premium Subscribers now have enhanced capabilities to display additional quakes near a specific quake. You can now adjust the search radius for nearby quakes and even look back as far as a year. Depending on where the epicenter is located, that can include a lot of quakes!

This update introduces a new feature for Premium Subscribers: You can now quickly change the time period or minimum magnitude for quakes shown near the epicenter of the current quake you’re viewing, all without altering your settings or switching views. Filter the nearby quakes and go back up to a month in the past to gain insights into what occurred before the quake you’re currently observing, all in the context of the current earthquake.

We've improved the quake list by making it possible to expand or collapse sections, which is particularly useful if you live in an earthquake-prone area and there are a lot of nearby earthquakes.

We've made some changes to better ensure that the earthquake information shown in the app is up to date, particularly after the app has been in the background for some time. The update also includes some quality-of-life improvements around refreshing and when showing earthquake information from a notification.

This release adds the ability to set the default quake view when you open the app (quakes list or map). It also fixes an issue with notifications so tapping a notification now shows the details for that quake.
