  1. v23.3.9Android
    Bug fixes and performance improvements.
  2. v23.5 / 23.6 / 23.7iOS 23.5cross-platform
    • Explicit Icon - A new red “E!” badge now appears whenever BallparkDJ detects that a player’s walk‑up song contains explicit lyrics.

    • AutoTrim Retained - The AutoTrim setting in the Edit Voice screen now remembers your last selection each time you return.

    • SoundBoard Studio Fixes and Improvements

       – Fixed Up-Next behavior
       – Added a bench emoticon for benched players
       – Increased number font size for better visibility
       – Improved button handling when adjusting column counts
       – Gray on Play now includes text showing how many times each button/player has been played

    • Sort by Genre or Decade (SoundBoard Studio) - When in SoundBoard Studio mode, 2 new options have been added to the Actions > Advanced > Sort Team menu: Sort by Genre and Sort by Decade. These will not only group the players/songs by genre or decade, but they also automatically color and label each group. Watch a new comprehensive Instructional Video on SoundBoard studio at https://www.ballparkdj.com/soundboard

    • Music Wizard - Play Full from Start (All) - The Music Wizard menu in the Edit Music screen now has a new selection of "Play Full from Start (All) which results in setting all song on the team to "Play Full Song" and sets the start offset to the beginning of the song (0:00). This is especially valuable when importing the Top 100 Walk-Up Songs, which are by default, set to start at the preferred start time for walk-ups, and set to play for 30 seconds.

    • Play On Loop - A new "Play on Loop" option is available via a swipe right on the PLAY button. This will result in that player playing continually on a loop until the user taps STOP. This can especially be useful for certain sound effects (or if you really want to annoy the other team during a mound visit!).

    • Gray On Play - only for songs >1m - A new option has been added to the SoundBoard Studio settings to use Gray on Play "only for songs > 1m". When this is turned on, only songs/audio files that are longer than 1 minute will be grayed after being played. This allows for user to mix sound effects with full songs on a team while using Gray on Play. Gray on Play will only impact the songs (> 1m) while not graying the shorter sound effects which are often played more than once per game.

    • SoundBoard Studio Mode - Studio Mode elevates your SoundBoard with a cleaner, more customizable layout that maximizes screen space and gives you full creative control. Key features include Player Color, FreeForm Drag & Drop, Variable Players per Row, and Gray on Play. Studio Mode is especially helpful for teams that run music‑only boards, sound effects, or situational playlists.

       – Player Color - Each player/button can be assigned its own color. Long‑press a button and select “Edit Player Color”. Coloring options include Color This Player, Row, Column, Group, Checkerboard, All, and Tap to Color. The Color Group option colors all contiguous buttons sharing the same color. An “Uncolor All” option is available to remove all Player Colors at once.

       – FreeForm Drag & Drop - FreeForm mode transforms the SoundBoard into a flexible grid where buttons can be placed anywhere on the screen. The long‑press menu now includes Insert Row Above and Insert Row Below. To move a button, long‑press, then drag and drop it to your desired location.

       – Grid Columns - SoundBoard Studio settings include an option for Grid Columns, which controls how many players appear across each row. iPhone supports up to 6 columns, while iPad supports up to 8. Select your preferred column count before customizing your layout further.

       – Gray on Play - Gray on Play clearly marks any players/buttons that have already been played. This is especially useful for SoundBoards of songs, helping you avoid playing the same track more than once during a game or event. Once a button has been played, it automatically turns gray. You can reset this in the long‑press menu using “Reset Gray” (This Button / All Buttons).

  4. v22.15 / 23 / 23.1iOS 23.1cross-platform
    Sample Teams: Preview Every Possibility

We’ve just unlocked a game-changing upgrade: Sample Teams can now be created using any sport and any announcer combination. Want to hear Roach on Hockey? Marysol for Volleyball? Casey on Baseball? You’re in control.

This powerful feature gives you a full preview of what’s possible before submitting a Pro Voice order — whether you’re using Standard Now Batting intros or going all-in with SuperVoice. And yes, it’s fully integrated with automated music setup via Apple Music for a seamless and complete experience.

    Music Wizard: Clear Music

The Music Wizard has a new option to "Clear Music". This will allow you to clear out the music for any player or team.
  5. v22.10 / 22.11 / 22.12 / 22.13 / 22.14 / 22.9iOS 22.14cross-platform
    - Share Full SuperVoice Package of Teams - For users that have ordered SuperVoice (blue, red, and gold teams), sharing the full SuperVoice package has just become so much easier. Simply open any of your 3 teams (blue, red, or gold) and share with Actions > Share Team and you will be presented with options to share only that team, or to share the full SuperVoice package. Sharing the full SuperVoice package will wrap all the teams up into a single link that will produce all 3 teams on the recipients end. The recipient will then be able to add and order new players if needed, as well as request redos. If the recipient is on iOS with Apple Music, the music for all players on all teams will also be automatically synched.

    - Music Wizard – Music Wizard makes music setup and selection a breeze by linking the process with our monthly Top 500 Songs list. This feature is especially valuable for iOS users with Apple Music.
The Music Wizard button can be found in the Edit Music screen, just below the iTunes / Apple Music button, and provides the following options: Random Top Song, Top Songs, Match Player, Match Team, and Random All Players. These options are designed to simplify music setup for a variety of situations.
For more details on each option and what they offer, visit: https://www.ballparkdj.com/music-wizard

    - Smart Song Selection! - Now, whenever you choose a song using the iTunes/Apple Music button, BallparkDJ instantly checks our Top 500 list and auto-sets the song’s optimal start time—no guesswork needed. We're putting this powerful list to work like never before, making your intros sharper and your setup smoother.

    - Show Song Info – A new option is available in the Actions > System Settings screen: Show Song Info. This setting defaults to OFF, but when turned ON, it will persistently display both the song title and artist below each player’s name.
If a player is already set up with the song title as their first name, only the artist will appear beneath the song title. Users can also quickly toggle Show Song Info by double-tapping the team name at the top of the team screen.

    - Key Events Teams/Players – Key Event teams are special teams created from SuperVoice gold teams via Actions > Duplicate Team. Key Events provide the perfect intros for major moments in each sport—like touchdowns in football or goals, assists, power plays, and one-minute warnings in hockey.
Key Events are only available for teams that have ordered pro-voicing with SuperVoice, and can only be accessed through the Duplicate Team action of a gold SuperVoice team. The available Key Event selections vary by sport, and we’re continuing to expand options across all sports over time.
For more information on the selections and what they produce, visit: https://www.ballparkdj.com/key-events

    - SuperVoice Components Limit Increased – As part of the Key Events implementation, we’ve increased the limit on SuperVoice components from 4 to 5 in the Edit Voice screen. Now, when SuperVoice is turned on, up to five team/player components can be combined to produce the intro.

    - Pause Music – When a player is set up with music only (no voice), a new PAUSE button appears below the STOP button during playback. Tapping PAUSE will fade out and stop the song, and a RESUME button will appear to continue playback from the paused point.
Note: PAUSE is not currently available for players set up with voice intros.

    - DJ Shortcut – When a team is open, double-tapping the team name at the top will open the DJ Shortcuts menu, giving you quick access to key display options, as well as Team Settings and System Settings.
The display options currently available in the DJ Shortcut menu include:
        • Custom Fonts
        • Show/Hide Song Info
        • Light/Dark Mode
        • Show/Hide Jersey
  6. v22.6 / 22.7 / 22.8iOS 22.8cross-platform
    - EVR+ and Volume Fluctuation - EVR+ has been enhanced to fully handle a volume-fluctuation issue that JBL PartyBox 320 users have been experiencing. We have also had reports of a similar issue with other Bluetooth speakers. The volume-fluctuation issue typically reveals itself by the volume jumping down when playback begins on a player. If you are experiencing a similar issue, please turn on EVR+ by visiting Actions > System Settings. Be sure to turn on EVR+ and not just EVR. If you continue to experience a volume-fluctuation issue after upgrading and turning on EVR+, please contact support. If you are using the JBL 320 and do not have EVR+ turned on, you will receive several notifications recommending that you turn on EVR+.
  7. v22.2 / 22.3 / 22.4 / 22.5iOS 22.5cross-platform
    - Export as Plain Text - A new option was added allowing users to easily share all details of their team including song titles, artists, and start times, through text or email. This option can be accessed by opening your team and choosing Actions > Import/Export > Export as Text > Plain Text. Especially useful for sharing teams and synching music details.

    - 2-Tap Minimal - 2-Tap Minimal, works just like 2-Tap, but eliminates the low noise that is played with the other 2-Tap modes in order to wake-up the Bluetooth speaker. Many Bluetooth speakers operate fine without that approach so if the low noise is more than you’d like to hear, test your speaker in 2-Tap Minimal mode.

    - Fade-Out Improvements - Some changes/improvements were made to how we implement fade-out when Apple Music is involved, which fixes an issues with the SoundCore Boom 2 speaker. Fade-Out should now operate properly with this Bluetooth speaker.

    - Scroll While Playing - During playback, when the PLAY/STOP button is present, some players may be hidden. In this release, it is now possible to scroll the screen behind the PLAY/STOP button and provide access/visibility to every other player. This can be useful for teams that keep music playing through the inning, and play songs all the way through the at-bat.
  8. v22 / 22.1iOS 22cross-platform
    - Player Video - Show off your player's professional intro with others through social media or text with our new Player Video option. These videos are complete with player photo, player name and number, team name, and music. To create a Player Video, choose Actions > Import/Export > Export Player Intro/Video.

    - Export All Voice Intros to One File - You can now export the voice intros of a full team to a single file, complete with music, with Actions > Import/Export > Export Player Intros/Video > Export Full Team > One Continuous File. The voice intros will play in order, continuously, within a single audio file (.m4a format). This file can then be shared with other parents, coaches, and team members through text, email, or social media.
  9. v21.14 / 21.15 / 21.16iOS 21.16cross-platform
Introducing Alan Roach - We are thrilled to introduce Alan Roach as the 9th member of our talented team. From NFL Super Bowls to FIFA World Cups, his voice is recognized globally. Since his first game with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in 1990, Roach has traveled the world with his microphone. Customize your SoundBoard presetation through the settings available in Actions > System Settings > SoundBoard Layout, where options include Jersey, First Name, Last Name, Number, and Player Photo. This innovative SoundBoard presentation offers a convenient and user-friendly alternative to the traditional list view.
