What is World Airports?
Current Momentum
v1.1
World Airports has been completely rebuilt from the ground up with a modern design and significantly expanded data. New Aviation-Themed Interface The app now features a dark cockpit-inspired design with amber and green instrument display colours. Monospaced typography is used throughout for codes and frequencies, giving the app an authentic aviation feel. Runway Data Tap into any airport to see detailed runway information including designators (e.g. 10L/28R), length and width in feet, surface type, lighting status and closed runway indicators. Runway data is available for over 7,600 airports. Radio Frequencies Airport frequencies are now listed for over 5,700 airports — ATIS, Tower, Ground, Approach, Departure, UNICOM and more — sorted in operational order with frequencies in standard aviation format. Smarter Search The old tabbed search (Name/Country/ICAO/IATA) has been replaced with a single universal search bar that filters across all fields simultaneously. Matching text is highlighted in amber so you can instantly see why each result appeared. More Airports The database has grown from 7,500 to over 9,300 airports, aerodromes and airfields worldwide. More Information Every airport now shows its country flag, city or municipality, altitude, ICAO and IATA codes, and precise coordinates. Interactive maps support pinch-to-zoom with Standard and Satellite views. Completely Offline All data is bundled within the app. No internet connection required — works anywhere, anytime.
