This update fixes a bug which was resulting in incorrect bird lists for some states.

Bug fixes. If you missed the last update you might not know that the app has had a major update to keep it working on all new devices. It now includes more bird sounds, more ways of sorting them and new settings for the quiz.

This update fixes a bug in the quiz that caused duplicate birds to appear.

New bird sounds have been added, including the songs of the Hooded warbler & Louisiana waterthrush.

Chirp! has been developed by nature specialists, iSpiny, to help you learn and identify bird songs. The latest update keeps the app running smoothly on all current devices, making full use of the larger screen of the iPhone X range and the 3rd generation iPad Pro.

New bird sounds wav been added and the app has been updated to keep it running smoothly. One new feature - you can now see the scientific name of each bird by tapping the name under the photo (in the Browse section).

Bug fix for custom quiz.

Many new sounds, larger photos for the iPhone version, plus general updating. The slideshow and quiz now only include birds for the currently selection region.

The app has been updated and the following bird sounds have been added: White-winged Crossbill, Common Merganser, Common Murre,and Willow Ptarmigan. In addition the Winter Wren and Pacific Wren have been separated.

Big changes on the iPhone - the app now rotates, and works in portrait as well as landscape!

In addition, we’ve added some new bird sounds. The new birds are: Field Sparrow, Gila Woodpecker, Phainopepla, Cassin's Kingbird, Bridled Titmouse, Ash-throated Flycatcher, Vermilion Flycatcher, Mexican Jay, Rusty Blackbird, Bachman's Sparrow, Hoary Redpoll and Hawk Owl (Northern Hawk Owl).

Alaska has been added to the app, and also a new feature for iOS 7- a voiceover in the slideshow section, announcing the name of the bird at the end of each sound. This new feature is great for testing yourself informally, or for competing with the family - who can say the name of the bird first?
