• Improvements to barcode scanner:
   - added ability to zoom in and out using two fingers: place fingers on the screen and spread fingers apart to zoom in and pinch them together to zoom out,
   - added tap to focus if needed,
   - on iPhones with a macro camera lens (iPhone Pro), will automatically use that camera's macro lens which has a shorter focal distance so that one can have the phone closer to the barcode.
   - fixed an issue that prevented the flashlight (torch light or LED flash) to stay on when the camera/barcode scanner starts to scan.
• Fixed the issues causing the app to crash when trying to add a new procedure to the list of procedures from which one can select.

• Barcode scanner now waits for barcode to be detected and in focus prior to reading it (but note that some medical barcodes have a security code embedded within it that prevents this scanner from being able to read them).

• Added a "Previous Date" button in the Date field of the Add to Log view that when tapped will replace the current date with the date of the previous entry's procedure date.

● In the Create Reports view, the option to include location in the PDF reports was added (it will be off by default) and the option to include the signature attestation was moved to the bottom. (Previously, location was included automatically unless the options to include the patient name and/or patient ID were turned off. Now, if patient name and ID are off, the location can still be included in the PDF report.)

Fixed an issue that caused a crash when performing a search.

• To add multiple procedures to the app's list of procedures, one can use the app itself or one can use their computer and fill out the form in the app's website at http://rmk-iosapps.com/procedure-log/create-procedures-list.html. A file containing the procedures and the specialty to which they belong will be created and downloaded to your computer, then the file must be imported into the app and can be shared with others if desired.

• Added ability to import additional lists of procedures for various specialties. Lists available with this update are:
     - Bedside Ultrasound,
     - Emergency Medicine,
     - Emergency Medical Services [EMS], and
     - Interventional Radiology.
Go to Settings > Edit Procedures, tap the import button in the middle of the toolbar at the bottom, then select the specialty whose procedures you want to import. You'll be taken to the list of procedures for that specialty that you can deselect procedures you don't want imported, then tap on "Import" at the top. It will check whether you already have any of the procedures in your list for that specialty to prevent duplicates.
• When adding a new procedure or complication after tapping "Add Another," the Specialty or Category will be set to the last one added (but can still be changed).
• When adding a new record to your log, the Specialty can now be selected in the Add to Log view, then when you go to the Select Procedure view, that Specialty will already be at the top (though one can still scroll to a different specialty). The selected specialty will become the default.

• Fixed issues that occurred in iOS versions less than 11.0 where the Reports icon would not display in the main Procedure Log view and a crash would occur when trying to view the Help/Instructions view.

• Items stored in the Keychain (username, password, your full name, email address, institution name, and answers to security questions, etc.) are now synced to iCloud Keychain, so now there should be no need to create a new user when getting a new phone and restoring from an iCloud backup.
• If you add photos to a record, you can now select frequently used titles for photos from a list. Add to this list in Settings > Edit Photo Titles.
• If the app is moved to the background, one will now be logged out of the app after 60 seconds, not immediately, unless the Logout button is tapped.
• The app will detect if a phone call is received and if you connect to the call while the app is active; one will not be logged out of the app during the call; once the call is ended, you will have 60 seconds to return to the app before being logged out of the app.
• Fixed issue that caused the Photos and/or Signature Images to be deleted if the iPhone auto locked while the app was open.

• Added ability to scan barcodes for patient demographic information (name, ID, and age, which is calculated from date of birth). Tap the barcode icon at the top right of the Add to Log view to access the scanner. Note: this scanner may not be able to read some medical barcodes due to certain security features encoded in them.

• One can now change the procedure/specialty of a record after it has been created if there is no associated signature attestation for that record.
• Added default location/facilities: one can now select a location as a default location that will be added automatically to the Add to Log view when creating a new record. Go to Settings > Edit Location/Facilities, then tap the location/facility you want as the default; it will be marked by a checkmark.
• Fixed an issue in the Add to Log view that caused the patient's name, ID, age, etc. from being recorded if a Diagnosis, Complication, or Photo was also added to the record at the time the record was created.
• After entering a patient's name when adding a new entry, the app will now check if a previous patient with the same name exists only if the last name is longer than 3 characters (avoids the alert message if one only uses patient's initials).
• Complication comments can now be added without first having to select from the complications list.

• Fixed an issue that could cause a crash in some devices if records were sorted by Specialty in the main view. (I was unable to reproduce this, but hopefully was able to fix it.)

- Fixed an issue that caused a crash when trying to create reports if records were created in more than one region that has different time formats.

• App now creates an automatic backup of the database on logout, and one can restore from that backup by going to Settings > Restore Database.
• Now one can use the Files app to view the files/documents in the Procedure Log app and use it to transfer files to and from your iCloud Drive, Dropbox account, or Mac computer using Airdrop.
• Updated the Settings and Backup & Restore sections of Info > Help/Instructions to include a discussion of the new automatic database backup and ability to restore the database from within the app and the use of the Files app.
