- v1.6.1iOS
Improved visuals, fixed bugs, and improved aurora calculation formulas
- v1.6.0iOS
We updated the translations to be closer to the original languages - 37 languages, it was a gigantic job!
- v1.5.9iOS
Meet the biggest update yet. Live rain radar on the map — see exactly where clouds are ruining your plans in real time. UV index badge shows up during daytime so you know what the sun is up to while you wait for it to go away. Space launches now appear on the Sun tab — because if you're already staring at the sky, you might as well know what's flying through it. New map layers let you switch between aurora forecast, clouds, precipitation and more — all without a PhD in meteorology. Nearest Aurora tells you where the lights are closest to you right now. Best Viewpoints finds dark elevated spots nearby so you stop photographing aurora from a gas station parking lot. Also fixed a bug where aurora activity showed zero during actual geomagnetic storms. We were basically saying "nothing to see here" while the sky was on fire. Sorry about that. Other improvements: - Map controls redesigned — much easier to use with cold fingers - App loads faster, especially on free plan - 37 languages got a proper translation pass - Smoother radar animation, no more flickering - Forecasts now agree with each other across all screens
- v1.5.8iOS
• Improved aurora forecast accuracy with updated NOAA OVATION model • Faster 3D globe rendering and smoother animations • Cloud cover data now refreshes every 30 minutes • Bug fixes and stability improvements

- v1.4.4iOS
Free forecast now shows 24 hours instead of 12. You're welcome. New Sun tab with live NASA imagery — see what's brewing on the Sun before it hits Earth. Smart hint for mid-latitude hunters: now shows when there's aurora activity worldwide but not quite enough for your location. Knowledge is power (and less disappointment). Map opens right where you are, zoomed out to see the big picture. No more "where am I" moments. Find Nearest Aurora now plays nice with the map — tap and go. Storm alerts now actually go to your active location. Revolutionary, we know. Cleaner alert levels UI. Less clutter, same aurora.
