Added an option to prioritise categories over tags in financial plans. When enabled, the app will not include tags into a plan calculation unless a tag was included into a plan. This option can be enabled when creating or editing a plan.

Statement Reconciliation With PDF Files (iPad only, iPadOS 26 required)

When reconciling a bank statement in the app, you can now open a PDF version of the statement and display it side by side with your transactions. This allows you to quickly cross off transactions in the PDF as you reconcile them in the app.

Debit & Credit can also attempt to recognize transactions from a PDF statement and automatically mark them as reconciled to save you time. However, this feature depends on your bank and how the PDF files are formatted.

New App Shortcuts
We have introduced new shortcuts for creating transactions, as well as a shortcut to create a new local expense for a previously saved payee location. This is a very powerful shortcut if you rely on saved payee locations. Whenever you are in a previously saved location, just run the shortcut and the app will ask you for a transaction amount. Once entered, it will use the right account, payee, and category for a new transaction. You can assign this shortcut to the action button on your device.

Everything related to file import has been rewritten from scratch using the latest technologies available on Apple platforms.

• improved speed and reliability of file import
• you can now start file import right in the app settings without opening a file in another app and sharing it
• significantly improved import UI on the iPad, where the table view is used to more efficiently utilise screen space
• improved UI related to creating new accounts and transaction confirmation for file import
• improved support for VoiceOver when confirming transactions for file import

• when exporting transactions that include notes, the app also uses notes for shared transactions to mention who created/edited a transaction

A number of improvements related to the Apple Card integration:
• you can tap on an uncategorized income or expense in Apple Card account and quickly convert it to a transfer
• when a new transaction is imported and there is a matching scheduled transaction, it will be updated as well and will be included into the list of its completed transactions
• improved processing of transfers between Apple Card and Apple Cash/Savings accounts
• improved processing of Daily Cash transactions in Apple Card account

Other new features:
• all metadata items (categories, descriptions, etc) are now sorted case insensitive

Apple Card, Apple Cash, and Savings integration (iPhone, iOS 17.4+ required, US only)

Get your Apple Card/Cash/Savings transactions automatically imported into the app. Debit & Credit will do its best to categorize transactions and you can make your import super smooth by creating import rules. The app will also try to recognize and process Daily Cash transactions as refunds of your expenses.
