Minor fixes and improvements

We added three new royalty-free music tracks by Orecchiette in this release, check them out in the Music tab.

Teleprompter improvements means better script tracking than before. We also improved the teleprompter UI and made bug fixes to the AI Director.

Finally, we improved Detail project downloads to be more reliable.

Writing an excellent video script and recording with a teleprompter was never this easy. With our new AI script writing tools, we’ll work with you to come up with ideas for your next video, turn an outline or draft into a polished script, add a strong hook to your video, or tweak your script for perfect delivery.

Check out the new Voice Tracking mode for the teleprompter. With Voice Tracking, the teleprompter automatically adapts speed while you’re reading.

And we have a nice bonus in this version...
Check out our Watch app for hands free control of the teleprompter and your slides while recording. Start and stop recording, skip through your slides, or control the teleprompter from your wrist.

We've made framing and layouts way more flexible, and added Apple Watch control.

Layouts
Drag your picture-in-picture (rectangle or circle) anywhere you want in the Layout menu. Pinch to scale it to the perfect size.

Framing
Double tap any source or use the canvas menu to quickly switch between Scale to Fit and Scale to Fill.
The Framing menu now has a tab per source, making it clearer how to frame within each one. Auto Framing is smarter with multiple faces – choose to frame Face 1, Face 2, or everyone. It also handles those moments when someone briefly moves out of frame much better.

Apple Watch
Control Detail right from your wrist. Start and stop recording, show or hide the Teleprompter, and pause or play it – all from your Apple Watch.

Happy new year! We start the new year with some neat new features: external storage support, support for Kick live streaming, and new device shape options in layouts.

Live stream to Kick with the new lives-streaming preset. Use an external disk to store your projects and clean up space on your iPhone or iPad. You can also record directly onto a fast external disk. You’ll find this option in Settings / Storage.

When you select an iPhone or iPad device shape in the layout menu, you can now enable the shape on both sources in the canvas menu.

Improvements and bug fixes.

We’re excited to introduce Slides. Recording video presentations or reaction videos, crazy simple!

You can now record presentations with images or a PDF as slides behind you, swipe through them while recording, and even go live with your slides. While you record, you create clips in your timeline for each slide – easy to edit.

Slides work seamlessly with the teleprompter. You can navigate slides while reading your script, or use simple slide tags like [slide1] to jump to the right slide automatically. Slides can be used in single-source layouts or together with your camera in picture-in-picture layouts.

With multiplayer, you can connect two iPhones or iPads, share and control slides on both devices, and record slides as editable clips. Present Slides on your iPad and use your iPhone camera to record high quality video. You can even replace your camera with an image or video, which is great for reaction videos, faceless recordings, or presentations.

Slides also work out of the box for live streaming, with high-quality recordings per slide.
Reaction videos? You can now record reaction videos with images or screenshots.

Bug fixes and improvements

Import one or more Photos as clips in your timeline to create a video slideshow in seconds. After importing, you can Music as background, record a voiceover, apply a filter, or add transitions. You can now also import videos from Files as a clip or a source, if you want to import clips from your storage, an external drives or cloud storage.

You can now shorten and extend your clips on the timeline. With the new trimming options you can quickly edit clips or undo your edits. Use the new Speed settings for clips to speed up parts of your timeline or play clips in slow motion.

With the Sync option for clips, you can tweak the timing of multiplayer recordings, if needed.
