The latest major update introduced slideshow resolution displays and playback fixes to improve user experience. While initial feedback is positive, the small sample size of three reviews prevents a definitive assessment of the 1.24 star rating increase. The overall impact remains neutral until a larger volume of user data confirms these trends.

- Slideshow export options now show the exact video resolution for each aspect ratio.
- The mute button during playback now follows what is on screen, so it turns the sound on and off for live photos as well as videos (thanks Miles for the suggestion!).
- Siri and Shortcuts slideshow actions no longer crash the Mac app.
- A slideshow interrupted by iOS closing the app in the background now reopens by itself the next time you unlock the device (thanks Dave for reporting!).
- A slideshow reopened after that interruption — or after an app update — now carries on from the photo it was showing, in the same order, instead of starting again from the first one (thanks Mário for reporting!). Playing an album yourself still starts from the beginning.
- Music no longer dips when a video without sound plays (thanks Fabian for reporting!).
