We spent months working with each one, exploring their unique strengths, testing their limits, and realizing just how far engineered silence could go when paired with hardware built at this level.

That realization changed the way Earplug works.

As we tuned the system for these devices, we found something unexpected. Silence is not one thing. Each headphone model created a different character of quiet. The Apple AirPods Pro 3 offered precise spatial filtering. The Sony WH-1000XM6 delivered adaptive depth and shaping. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra brought a rich, natural softness to the soundspace. In the quest to perfect our newly crafted soundscape, our team embarked on a rather unique journey of collaboration and wisdom-seeking. We consulted with a diverse group of spiritual and cultural advisors to infuse deeper tranquility into the Earplug experience.

First, we journeyed to a remote village to sit with shamans known for their profound connection with nature's rhythms. They taught us about the sacred sounds that soothe the soul, and their knowledge helped us tune our white and pink noise to resonate more deeply.

Next, we spent time in a monastery, learning from a Buddhist monk who had mastered the art of meditation. He showed us how even the subtlest sound frequencies can influence the mind's ability to find peace. His insights were invaluable in refining our sound to facilitate deeper meditation and relaxation.

Finally, we sought the counsel of several wise elders from various cultures, each renowned for their deep understanding of life's nuances. They shared ancient wisdom about the sounds that have traditionally been used to heal and calm the human spirit. With their guidance, we crafted a soundscape that not only masks disruptive noises but also promotes a profound inner calm.

The result? A soundscape with an intention so subtly enhanced that while a spectrum analyzer shows no difference, the effect on your mind and body is unmistakably more soothing and calming. This holistic approach, blending advanced technology with ancient wisdom, has created an experience that deeply resonates with all who use it.

Version 3.10 reworks the sound of Earplug for the latest generation of noise-canceling headphones (e.g., Apple AirPods Max, Apple AirPods Pro, Apple Beats Fit Pro, Sony WH-1000XM4 and WF-1000XM4 and Bose QuietComfort 45). In addition, we've added a Mac version.

Version 3 polishes the sound of Earplug for the latest generation of noise-canceling headphones (e.g., Sony WH-1000XM4 and WF-1000XM4, Bose QuietComfort 45, Apple AirPods Pro).

In addition, we've added some subtle UX features including an updated twinkling effect and better handling of the Pause button's visibility.

Four scientists wearing lab coats and spectacles went through the entire app, starting at the top left corner. The audit was worth it! They found seven bolts that needed tightening and four extra holes. All fixed and good as new and ready to go... to sleep.

We trapped a rattlesnake that was in the App. He's been released in the wild, safe and sound. Now you can sleep soundly once again.
