Archives
- 7z, tar, tar.gz, tar.bz2 and tar.xz open on iPhone and iPad, where until now only ZIP did.
- On the Mac the same formats no longer need p7zip or any command-line tool installed: the app reads them itself.
- A .tar.gz is finally read as a tar inside a gzip, not as an unknown file.
- A single .gz, .bz2 or .xz file opens directly.
- An archive too large to decode in memory says so instead of the app disappearing.

Favorites
- A folder on a server can be a favorite: drag it onto the sidebar from a server pane, or use "Add to Favorites" in the menu.
- Opening a remote favorite reuses the connection you already have open instead of starting a second session, and the pane shows the folder's contents straight away.
- A favorite whose connection you deleted says so instead of failing with a generic error.
- Favorites saved by earlier versions stay exactly as they were.

Editor
- If the file changed on disk while you had it open, Save asks what to do - overwrite, save a copy, or reload - instead of writing over someone else's work.
- Coming back to the app tells you when the file changed behind your back.
