Our new Tech-to-Resident Chat feature is here and available for Advanced Facilities Beta clients! Technicians can now text residents directly about work orders from the Facilities App. Enjoy improved privacy (no personal numbers needed!), faster updates, and a clear communication history.

We've also been hard at work addressing minor bugs and making performance improvements behind the scenes. These updates help ensure the app runs smoothly and provides a more stable experience for everyone

This update focuses on making things run a bit smoother:
    1. We’ve tackled a few minor bugs that might have caused small glitches or hiccups. Things should feel more stable now.
    2. We fixed an issue with color coding test versus live accounts. When using a test account, you should see a blue background and using live, you should see a red background.

Our latest update comes with bug fixes related to Work Order Notes and other improvements.

This update addresses key functionalities:
    Resolved an issue preventing work order edits in offline mode and Add Note
    Corrected the visibility of the AI closing note button.
We recommend updating to the latest version for improved stability and access to all features.

Two major changes were made to the app to provide functionality more in line with what is offered on the web:
    1. Users can now unassign a work order by selecting the Unassigned option in the name drop-down.
    2. Users can also edit the location and problem of a work order.

Available with Advanced Facilities beta only, maintenance techs can now navigate to their settings and select or take a picture of themselves to be used as their profile picture.

Camera Updates (for Advanced Facilities Users Only)
    New abilities when adding photos in the app:
        Capture multiple photos from camera at a time.
        Drawing on photos and select a colour option for drawing.
        Adding text on a photo.
        Editing photo metadata information.

Adding Make Readies and Filters to the Make Ready Sub Task.
In the Make-readies tab, you can now choose between viewing a Make Ready list or Sub-Task list. You can also group your list by Assignment, Category, Problem, or Unit.

Removed Labor Logging at the Subtask Level
Labor logging at the subtask level has been removed from the Facilities App to keep the app consistent with the web.

Use AI to generate a closing note and send it to the resident upon work order completion. Contact your customer success manager to enable this feature.

Subtasks are no longer included in the make readies list on the dashboard.

Added property name on the inspection cards while multiple properties selected.
The search functionality has been enhanced by disabling the auto spell check feature.

Al Translations in the Facilities App
New Al translation functionality has been added to the Facilities App to translate text that has been entered into the Facilities App from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English. This is especially useful in cases where the resident has entered a description of an issue in English, but the maintenance technician has the language in the app set to Spanish. In this case, the text entered by the resident will be translated into Spanish for the maintenance tech.

Make Ready Tab in the Facilities App
Make Readies now have a separate tab from Work Orders in the Facilities App. Users can now easily locate and manage Make Ready tasks independently from other work orders.

Miscellaneous fixes and stability improvements

Fixed:
We fixed an issue where attaching an image to a work order in offline mode would cause the app to crash.

New/Updated:
When adding/uploading an image in work orders or inspections, there will now be a thumbnail and a loading indicator for each image.
Updated the frequency of app feedback being requested, as this occurred too often.
Offline logic to handle a network error so the data is not lost or corrupted.
Fixed:
An Issue where images were being duplicated on inspections causing serious delays to inspections.
An issue where a SAML user would face difficulty logging in.
An issue where the start/stop text for the labor tracking was not updating correctly.
Multiple scenarios where users were facing crashes.
Multiple behaviors to allow a smoother in-app experience.
