More fractals: Choose from a growing library—start with the classic Mandelbrot set and Julia sets (including a curated Douady-style preset). Pick the fractal from the toolbar; your choice is remembered between sessions.
Julia in 3D: Unlock the 3D terrain view and explore Julia sets with the same heightfield lighting and camera controls as Mandelbrot—no need to stay in flat view.
Softer shadows: 3D terrain uses gentler, more natural-looking shadows with a wider penumbra and a touch of ambient skylight so dark areas feel less harsh.
Stability and performance improvements for sharing and saving high-resolution snapshots.
