Email verification for new accounts, a first launch that opens where you are, and cleaner fish lists. • New email and password sign-ups now send a verification link and hold the account until you open it. Signing in with Apple or Google is unchanged. • If you already have an email and password account, you'll be asked to confirm your address once, the next time you open the app. • The first launch explains why the app wants your location before asking, then opens the map on you. Without a location, the map opens zoomed out to your region. • The Guide opens ready for your question instead of asking one for you. • Coming back from the Guide or the report returns the sheet to the size you left it. • Species pages show recent stockings even when the state's records spell the fish differently — a Michigan "Steelhead" is a Rainbow Trout. • Lake fish lists and the Guide no longer suggest minnows, shiners, darters, suckers and other bait species as fish to catch. • Filtering for a fish at "abundant" no longer returns lakes whose own page lists it as merely present. • Sign-in problems are explained in a plain sentence instead of an error code. • The sign-in screen has a cleaner, centered layout.
