  3. v1.11iOS
This is the biggest Hacktivate update yet! Dragonsworn joins the game, but all is not as it seems and it's up to you to save the day!

    Also in this release:

    - You can now adjust music and sound volume during the tutorial.
    - There's a new Reset Progress button in the Settings menu.
    - Transform Audio is much, much faster, and no longer requires manual toolbox execution.

  4. v1.10iOS
This update adds the top two most-requested features from users.

First, I've gone back through every challenge to add a complete solution showing you how it can be solved. This can be accessed as a third hint for any challenge if you're stuck, but you can also view the solution after you complete a challenge in case you were curious if you found the best way or not.

Second, Hacktivate now includes both sound and music! Both are set to a middle volume by default, but you can bring them up louder or silence them entirely if you prefer using the Settings menu.

Various other fixes and improvements have been made, including the ability to double-tap challenges to start them.

I'll be working on more user requests soon, so please let me know what you'd like to see by emailing hello@hacktivate.app.

    Thank you for playing Hacktivate!
  5. v1.9iOS
Get ready for Maximum Overdrive! They turn hacks into high scores, hiding exploits in game logic, weaponizing mechanics, and gamifying every breach. For them it’s all just play, and you’re already losing.
  6. v1.8iOS
Are you ready for Packetstorm? They live in the browser, chaining scripts, hijacking logic, and bending JavaScript to their will. If it runs on the client, it’s theirs to rewrite.

This update also changes the following:

    - Added a new Scratchpad tab during challenges
    - Added a new XOR Brute Force toolbox operation
    - Added a "Send to Toolbox" button in the browser source code view
    - Added a context menu to browser console input and output
    - When using a keyboard, you can now use the up and down cursor keys to repeat JavaScript console commands
    - Completed regions are now checked off on iPhone
    - Fixed a bug with From Binary and To Binary that could convert some text incorrectly

    Thank you for playing Hacktivate!
  7. v1.7iOS
You're entering Sand Wraiths territory now – try your hand at 10 new challenges that focus on servers, scripts, and everything behind the curtain. You'll never see the hit coming, but your server sure feels it.

At the same time, we also added an optional Easy Mode to "Triage under Fire" – it will appear if you don't succeed twice, and you can always turn it off later.

    Thank you for playing Hacktivate!
  8. v1.6iOS
Welcome to sunny Southern Europe! Solar Legion are waiting for you with 10 new challenges – they move in encrypted silence using XOR, block ciphers, and airtight crypto. Their messages are unreadable, their traces mathematical.

    Also in this update:
    - If you're playing with a hardware keyboard, you can now use the shortcut keys ⌘1 through ⌘5 to move through the challenge tabs: Challenge, Toolbox, Editor, Map, and Databank. You can also start a challenge using the cursor keys and return, and exit a challenge with Escape.
    - You can now tap to dim images in the Guess Who challenge.
    - Added a new Slice Text toolbox operation.
    - Fixed bugs in Vigenère Encode and Assembly Line 4.
  9. v1.5iOS
Say hello to Iron Star! They speak the language of the machine – registers, jumps, and raw instructions. They don’t patch code; they rewrite reality from the bottom up, and they bring with them 10 fresh challenges to continue building your skills!
  10. v1.4.1iOS
This corrects a date parsing issue in the Convert Dates operation, and a rare off-by-one error in the Unique operation.
  11. v1.4iOS
Norse Code has landed, bringing 10 new challenges to put your skills to the test! They bend time to breach systems – time zones, leap years, broken clocks, and off-by-one errors. Their attacks unfold daily, triggered by the very tick you forgot to count.

    Also in this update:

    - Previously new regions were unlocked when you had enough points, but to avoid confusion this has now changed so you must also complete at least one challenge from the previous region – even if that's just the tutorial.
    - There's a new "Game tips" Databank page with some helpful tips to get the most from Hacktivate.
    - There's now a Close button in the Hacktivate World Championship screen, for times when you don't qualify just yet.
    - Alternative search text has been added to more toolbox operations, making them easier to find.
    - Fixed a bug where you sometimes needed to tap Headers twice to select it.
    - Expanded the logic gates Databank entry to provide more truth tables.
    - UTC is now the default when converting dates.

    Thank you for playing Hacktivate!

This fixes a small bug in the Raven Guard challenges.
  13. v1.3.1iOS
Raven Guard are here, and are ready to put you to the test! They slip through websites like shadows in the source – from broken HTML to buried APIs, they turn the quirks of the web into weapons. Can you beat them?

This update also fixes a handful of other issues that were reported, including making the "Show Page Source Code" button easier to tap on iPhone. Thank you for playing Hacktivate!
  14. v1.2iOS
Players can now earn free hints by taking our cybersecurity quiz – good luck!
  15. v1.1iOS
Mirage Protocol has entered the challenge! They thrive in digital mess – unquoted strings, mangled CSVs, and broken tables, parsing what others overlook, weaponizing commas and columns like cutting wire.

    Also in this update:

    - Toolbox recipes will no longer disable when filtering the toolbox.
    - The challenge mode toolbar now highlights when completing a tutorial.
    - There's a new Email Support button.
