We have updated payments item feature such that the team admins can take partial payments form the team members for a given item.  If the payment is less than the total due payment, then the due payment icon will still show agains the user name.
Also, with paid events, the teacher, coaches, trainers can setup an event and create a public url which they can share with all their contacts.
Anyone receives the link, can click on the link and pay for the event for registration.
