• You can now easily rotate your scene with the new potter's wheel! 

This was a highly requested feature. Now you don't have to walk to the other side of a model, just spin the wheel! This makes it a lot easier to create more interesting models.

• Selections are now visualized, making them easier to work with. 

In version 1 it wasn't always easy to know which metaball you selected. Now it's clear. Also, it just looks really cool to see a selection like this in 3D :)

• Changes to a selected metaball's strength from the materials panel are now visualized.

In previous versions it wasn't very clear what the strength (aka influence) slider does exactly. Now when you drag the slider, the influence of the metaball is very clearly visualized.

• Gallery page got some design improvements.

And now when you save scenes to your gallery, their previews will include color & materials!

You can now export to USDZ and STL formats! 

USDZ replaces the .reality and .usdc formats in version 1 with a simple, universal format that now includes materials! You can view your creations on device, or import them into desktop content creation apps for further exploration.

STL provides a standard 3D printing format so you can bring your Metaballs creations into the real-world. (Geometry only.)

Exports now launch in Quick Look for easier sharing / saving. (Note that STL files are a desktop format and do not preview on device.)

We heard you! Many would rather have a one-time unlock purchase rather than a subscription, and now you have that option!
