10.8.0 introduces Liquid Glass. This brings the new iOS/macOS 26 look to MIDI Designer Pro X and improves how images are used for backgrounds.

• Any new or existing panel can use Liquid Glass, plus expanded rounding options (iOS/macOS 26+).
• New Page Images let users assign images directly to page backgrounds instead of wrestling with Image Panels.
• Improved tooling for images on iPad and Mac: clean two-up layouts via in-app horizontal image splitting.
• Buttons, knobs, sliders, and XY pads can now use Liquid Glass backgrounds for subtle texture and blur (iOS/macOS 26+).
• Many bug fixes and refinements as part of the move to Xcode 26.

This release brings Liquid Glass -- the new look in iOS/macOS 26 -- to MIDI Designer Pro X. We've also upgraded your design experience using images to make using backgrounds easier.

• On iOS/macOS 26+, you can make any new or existing panel use Liquid Glass. In addition, we've added more rounding options to all panels.
• We introduce Page Images so users  can assign them directly to page backgrounds instead of wrestling with Image Panels.
• Also, we've enhanced the tooling for images on iPad/Mac: users can make clean two-up layouts through in-app horizontal image splitting with ease.
• Buttons, knobs, sliders, and XY pads can also use Liquid Glass backgrounds, adding subtle texture and blur to all layouts.
• Lots of bug fixes and tweaks in upgrading to Xcode 26.

Introducing Sysex Strings! This is a huge for managing patch, kit and sample names on devices from Roland, Yamaha and others that speak Sysex.

Check out the fabulous docs and example from Kenyon at mididesigner.com/qa/10103. Big ups and gratitude to him for designing this feature from the ground up and advocating for it, gently, for over a year.

We've also revamped and future-proofed all sysex storage, sending and receiving. This release also provides a new option for play-mode: a button to toggle MIDI receive (to protect existing sysex strings in play mode). Also, coming soon: 14-bit "L" channel in sysex.

In addition, the Browse page inside the App should be 10x faster (and up to 300x faster in certain cases).

Welcome MIDI Designer users to our 92nd update to the App Store's best MIDI controller: MIDI Designer Pro X (10.3.1).

Changes:
• You can now choose a wider range of LED colors for pages and controls, including more muted tones (thanks Yasir)
• Now, you can set the text color for individual controls, including allowing LED-color choice  (thanks Yasir)
• Spill all the screenshots of your layout to disk. See Config Actions (this is marked "Beta" and is still in test). See midiDesigner.com/screenshot-video for a use-case and qa10036 for details.
• You asked for it, you got it! We've reworked "Stay Alive in Background" to not silence other apps (thanks David, qa9836)
• We added 5-byte device ID Roland Sysex Checksum (thanks JK)
• If you're a Premium user, you can now see how your layout will look for Free users with "Simulate No Premium." Because MD is free.

Fixes:
• We fixed Stream Byter delays of less than 1s (thanks JK, thefervent qa6952)
• We reworked how MD does versioning of layouts: unless your layout uses newer features, you will be backwards compatible (thanks Don)
• Fixed: Label Value Source on Make Similar for Panels
• Under-the-hood improvements and small UI fixes to keep your experience running smoothly
