The New Republic’s beautiful, completely redesigned iPad app brings the magazine to life with its fun and modern design. Far beyond just a digital replica of the magazine, the app takes all of the issue’s rich content and combines it with a host of engaging features and additional content: interactive photo essays, intuitive navigation and sharing functionality, and exclusive audio and video.

Some important bug fixes and minor tweaks have been made. We're continually improving the app and hope to release a high-def retina version for the new iPad very soon!

Specific fix for multimedia issue causing app to crash on launch. We'd like to apologize to any of our readers experiencing this issue, and will do all we can to prevent this happening again.

We've fixed a bug in iOS5 when sharing an article. The entire sharing platform has been enhanced too - to integrate seamlessly with iOS-based Twitter and your Facebook app (if you have it). There are also a few more minor enhancements added that we hope will improve your overall experience. Enjoy!

WE'VE MOVED TO THE NEWSSTAND!

You can now find The New Republic in the iPad's Newsstand (if you've updated to iOS5). This will always show the latest issue with a "NEW" flag every two weeks when the latest print magazine content goes live on the App.

We've also fixed a bunch of minor bugs and made small, but hopefully noticeable improvements throughout.

We've fixed a few bugs and we've made some slight tweaks to the user interface. We will continue to update the app as we find ways to improve the experience.

If you're having problems with loading content, please remove the app completely, and reinstall from the AppStore. Your settings will be restored automatically.
