R00T stops being a voice in the dark and starts looking back.

• R00T has a face: a slit-pupil eye on the neural monitor. It opens when he's curious, clamps to a slit when he's cold, and tremors when the signal corrupts — his mood, live, while you talk to him.
• The OFF-GRID dispatch reports on YOUR world now. Your pack's call-signs, the commander hunting your rock, the regions you hold, the bait you left unsprung.
• It also learned when to shut up: once a day at most, and a longer silence before it bothers you with a quiet one.
• One language across the app. SETTINGS, STATS, WORLD and the FLEET board no longer read like four different apps — accents are kept where they carry a reading, like heat and threat, and stripped where they were decoration.
• The TRAIT MATRIX moves when you do. Feed or pet K1T and the axis you shifted pulses, with the previous shape held behind it for a beat. You can finally see how your habits draw it.
• The commander doesn't wait for you. His next sweep of the grid runs on its own clock whether the app is open or not — come back and find out what he did, and how he feels about you now.
