- v17.1.1iOS
A UI and internal code maintenance update for iPadOS 26 (Liquid Glass) and later. 1) Ensured the UI remains clean on iPadOS 26 (Liquid Glass) and later (e.g., the app’s toolbars). 2) Updated the internal code and the look and feel of all popup menus, dialogs, alerts, and views to ensure compatibility with future iPadOS versions. Thanks for your latest app reviews. If you like PokerCruncher and our continuing work, please consider writing an App Store review, thanks! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v16.1.1iOS
Some small UI improvements: 1) Show a one-time informational alert when you use the “Set Deck Card Dead/Live” button for the first time, to better explain how to set dead cards. Thanks to customer Heather K. for writing in about this. 2) Set the text size of the toolbar’s buttons in a cleaner way, so that the toolbar doesn’t overflow if you set the iPadOS system text size setting to a very large text size. 3) Change the app’s display name on the home screen to “PokerCruncher”, from the abbreviated name “PkrCruncher”. Thanks for your latest app reviews. If you like PokerCruncher and our continuing work, please consider writing an App Store review, thanks! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v15.1.1iOS
A UI freshen-up and maintenance update for the latest versions of iOS, and some other small UI improvements. 1) Improve/update the look of some UI elements in a few views on the latest versions of iOS, e.g. the card deck in the main view. 2) In the Hand Range Editor view, when edit a hand range, reset the range’s name only if the range has actually changed. 3) For clarity, write “[Not Applicable For Board]” for views that aren’t applicable when the board is tapped/selected, e.g. the Hand Range Editor view. 4) Some small wording improvements in a few dialogs. 5) This app now requires iOS 12.0 or later. Thanks for your latest app reviews. If you like PokerCruncher and our continuing work, please consider writing an App Store review, thanks! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v12.4.1iOS
Improvements for the “View Card Removal Effect” setting/feature, e.g. to the 4x4 Hand Combos (suits) view. 1) Add extra clarification in the UI for the behavior of the “View Card Removal Effect” setting: takes *card removal effects* into account, but not *range removal effects*. So, enter a player’s specific hand as *2 specific cards* from the *card deck*, not as a (1-combo) *hand range*. 2) Add an info. alert for the above usage-case (1-combo hand range). 3) Show card removal effect in the 4x4 Hand Combos (suits) view (if this setting is ON): dim combos that aren’t live due to card removal effect. * Note that these combos are still ON/OFF editable in the range (e.g. a combo can be in the range but not live). * Also note that combos are also (slightly less) dimmed when you multi-select cells in the range grid, but this is a different dimmed meaning (multi-select) than card removal effect (the latter dimmed meaning only applies when you have exactly one cell selected in the range grid). 4) Update the Hand Range Editor view’s Help screens and the Tutorial with these changes. 5) Make dead cards in the card deck slightly brighter for better visibility, and also do the same for the board’s non-dealt cards (cards to the right of the Deal-To setting). 6) Rename the 4x4 “Suits” view to “Hand Combos” view in the UI and the Tutorial. If you like PokerCruncher and our continuing work, please consider writing an App Store review, thanks! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v12.3.1iOS
Educational additions: videos and blogs, a great new recommended pro/coach: Alec Torelli (ConsciousPoker.com), and a Coaches & Pros webpage … to help you use PokerCruncher more effectively and improve your game. 1) Links to videos and blogs on PokerCruncher (by pros/coaches) directly inside the app: Menu --> Help … --> Featured Videos & Blogs --> … For example the “The Best Way to Study Poker” video and blog by Alec Torelli are must sees in our opinion. Also see our website’s (improved) Tutorials & Videos page. 2) A great new recommended poker pro/coach: Alec Torelli (ConsciousPoker.com) Alec uses PokerCruncher in his work/analysis and has created some excellent videos and teaching material (e.g. the “The Best Way to Study Poker” video and blog mentioned above). If you want to learn how to use PokerCruncher effectively, how to read hands and ranges better, and improve your overall game, we recommend checking out Alec's videos/teaching-material/coaching. We ourselves (including me RJ) have learned a lot from Alec's videos and teaching material e.g. his funnel system for reading hands and ranges. Do check him out! 3) A separate Coaches & Pros page on our website, and a link to this page inside the app: Menu --> Coaches & Pros … --> Coaches & Pros We’re very happy that some really good pros/coaches like these guys are using PokerCruncher and have created some great teaching material. Some small UI improvements: * Better column alignment in the Range Heat Map Details text, for better readability. * Small layout fix in the Enter Hand Range Name view, to the range number label. * Remove the “Clr” button in the Hand Range Editor view, for consistency with PokerCruncher-Advanced-iPhone’s UI, and to avoid accidental clears of hand ranges. To clear a hand range, do Menu --> Clear Hand Range. * A few minor wording improvements in the menus and dialogs. If you like PokerCruncher and our continuing work, please consider writing an App Store review, thanks! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v12.1.1iOS
An edge-case bug fix for “Export All Saved Ranges”, and a wording improvement to the “Export All Saved …” menu buttons. 1) Edge-case bug fix for “Export All Saved Ranges”: If you had saved hand ranges with hand range names that contain special chars like “&”, the exported text was getting cut off at that point (at the special char). This has been fixed, so you can now use special chars like “&” in hand range names. 2) Wording improvement to the “Export All Saved …” menu buttons: Reword these menu buttons to “Export/Back-Up All Saved …”, to indicate that these menu buttons can be used to back up your saved hand ranges and saved scenarios. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v11.6.2iOS
An edge case “Calc” button bug fix: * If you did repeated calc’s fast, starting the next calc immediately after the current calc ends, you could have sometimes gotten a crash. You had to be really stress-testing the app to get this; wouldn’t have happened in normal usage. In any case this has been fixed. Also (in V.11.6.1): * Double the default number of Monte Carlo simulation trials, to a cool 1 million trials. * When import a hand range via its text, handle the abbreviated syntax e.g. “K9+”, which means “K9s+, K9o+”. * Minor wording improvements in the UI e.g. uppercase/lowercase changes. * Add the app’s name in small print at the top of the main view. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v11.6.1iOS
Small improvements to keep the app in top form: 1) Double the default number of Monte Carlo simulation trials, to a cool 1 million trials. Today’s faster devices can handle it, giving us even more accuracy in the stats. If needed, you can use the “Number Of Sim. Trials” setting in the main view’s Menu. 2) When import a hand range via its text, handle the abbreviated syntax e.g. “K9+”, which means “K9s+, K9o+”. 3) Minor wording improvements in the UI e.g. uppercase/lowercase changes. 4) Add the app’s name in small print at the top of the main view. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v11.5.1iOS
New feature: undo accidental clears/resets of hand ranges in the main view. * Main view: new menu button Menu --> Dead Cards, Settings, Undo --> Import Last Cleared Range (Undo). Select (tap) a player first. * Or, long-tap on a player to bring up the player’s shortcut menu. * Add a section in the main Help screen for this undo feature. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v11.4.1iOS
1) Make the batch-import saved hand ranges feature more robust: * Retain spaces in the names of the imported saved hand ranges (before, spaces were being stripped). * Better error handling/reporting. 2) Make the app’s splash screen cleaner, for the latest/newest version of iOS. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v11.3.1iOS
New feature: enter/edit scenario notes. And small wording improvements in the menus. 1) Add the ability to enter/edit text notes on a scenario. * To view and edit a scenario’s notes, in the main view, do Menu —> Scenario Text … —> View Scenario Text/Notes … * Of course notes are handled in saved scenarios and exported/imported scenarios. For example, this feature lets us record/save important info. on our key hands in real time while it’s fresh in our mind, so we can review/analyze our key hands better later. However note that PokerCruncher is primarily an odds calculation app, not a hand tracking / note-taking app. But we’re happy to add this minimal useful note-taking ability. 2) Small wording improvements in the menus in the main view and hand range editor view. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v11.1.1iOS
Small new features and improvements. 1) Add “Clear Saved Hand Range” menu button and subscreen in the hand range editor view. For a selected range, you can clear both the range and its name, or just the range. 2) App’s top and bottom toolbar buttons: improve the buttons’ spacing and layout. 3) Make importing (parsing in) hand ranges via their text more robust: ignore a possible “Weights:” section at the end of the text (the Mac-Expert version of PokerCruncher has this %age weights feature). This makes importing hand ranges from the Mac-Expert version possible / fully clean. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v10.1.1iOS
1) Ensure that the app works cleanly on the upcoming iOS 11. 2) New section “Further Education” in the app’s main menu (“Menu” button) and on the Tutorial & Videos webpage. We've partnered with some great poker pros/coaches/teachers, who like and use PokerCruncher, to help improve your game even further; please check them out! 3) Some small wording improvements and cleanups in some help/info screens. 4) A small edge-case bug fix to advanced Deal-To-Flop stat Pair&GutshotStraight (our apologies). Our thanks to customer Brian K. for finding the 4) bug. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v9.5.1iOS
A small user interface fix for iOS 10, and a new section “Featured Poker Coaches” on our Tutorial & Videos webpage. 1) Hand Range Editor View: Fix the sizes of the 4 Left/Right/Up/Down arrow buttons on iOS 10. 2) New section “Featured Poker Coaches” on our Tutorial & Videos webpage. These guys can improve your game; we suggest checking them out! 3) This app now requires iOS 8.0 or later. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v9.4.3iOS
A small user interface improvement. Remove an unintuitive and error-prone UI shortcut: tap on a player’s Equity stat to fold/un-fold the player. This was causing accidental/unintended fold/un-fold’s and calculation resets. We’ll instead do this the normal and intuitive way: long-tap the player’s card/range field to bring up the player’s shortcut menu, then tap the “Fold/Un-Fold Selected Player” button. Or tap/select the player and then use the “Menu” button. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v9.4.2iOS
1) Improve/fix range grid’s “Auto-Add Grid Cells” setting’s behavior. * This setting now behaves as a toggle i.e. add/remove for both taps and swipes on the range grid. Before, it behaved as a toggle for only taps, not swipes. * Rename this setting to “Auto-Add/Remove Grid Cells”. 2) Update this app’s App Store screenshots to the latest size/format. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v9.3.1iOS
A couple of small user interface tweaks to make the UI clean on (the upcoming) iOS 10. 1) Hand Range Editor View: Fix the sizes of the 4 Left/Right/Up/Down arrow buttons on iOS 10. 2) Save/Load Hand Range View: Change the background color of the range picker control to make it clearly visible on iOS 10. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC
- v9.2.1iOS
Improvements to the range grid, and some small/minor bug fixes. 1) Improvements to range grid’s cell selection look and behavior and add/remove cells behavior. * Selected cells are now indicated by dimming the cells (the old method was to color selected cells orange). Using dimming lets us see the cells’ underlying color e.g. yellow (added to the range) or non-yellow (not added). Also, a small percentage of new users thought that the old orange color means “added” because it’s a bright/strong color; using dimming (which is more subdued) better conveys just “selected” not added. * If the “Auto-Add Range Grid Cells” setting is on, a single-tap behaves as a toggle i.e. add/remove. * Keep all of the currently selected cells selected after adding/removing cells (instead of keeping just one cell selected). Lets you see which cells were affected by the add/remove, and lets you do another operation on the (same) selected cells. 2) Calculation: Take folded players who have hand ranges into account in all cases. They weren’t being taken into account when no active player (non-folded player) has a hand range. But they (correctly) were being taken into account when an active player (non-folded player) has a hand range, which is the normal usage scenario, so this wasn’t a serious bug. This is an important and differentiating feature of PokerCruncher. The ranges of players who have folded out of the hand (select the player, then tap “Menu” —> “Fold Selected Player” button) can affect the hands and ranges and equities/stats of the active players (non-folded players), and PokerCruncher lets you model this effect of the folded players in your scenario. 3) Fix an edge-case error-scenario calculation bug: show an error message correctly without crashing if there are no active players (all players have folded). This is a degenerate edge-case that was always being handled correctly in the iPhone version of this app, and is now fixed in the iPad version. ===== App Reviews ===== App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you! -RJ, PokerCruncher, LLC

Videos on how to use PokerCruncher. * Two poker coaches have each made good videos on how to use PokerCruncher (thanks guys!). Links to the videos are on our website. Also, the app’s Menu -> “Tutorial & Videos” button takes you to the PokerCruncher Tutorial and videos. These videos use the Mac-Expert version of PokerCruncher, but the main concepts they discuss e.g. hand ranges apply to all versions of PokerCruncher. * We’ve made a short 30-second app preview video of the iPhone version of PokerCruncher. This video is on our website, and is helpful for the iPad version of PokerCruncher too. Thanks for your new app reviews. We would especially like to get more reviews on our 4-app advanced odds apps bundle, thank you.
- v8.2.1iOS
A few small user interface improvements and cleanups, mainly to make sure that the app is clean on iOS 9. 1) Show “hand range has been saved as …” alert cleanly on iOS 9. 2) Improve column alignment in range heat map details text on iOS 9. 3) Stats view: Reword “Over Pair” stat to “Overpair”. Thanks for your new app reviews. App Store reviews help PokerCruncher succeed and get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you!
- v8.1.2iOS
A small bug fix and cleanup update. 1) A deal-random-cards bug fix: When dealing random cards to only the selected player (using long-tap on the player), the player’s existing cards sometimes weren’t being returned to the card deck correctly. This bug is now fixed (was introduced in the previous update V.8.1.1). App Store reviews help PokerCruncher get even better, and are greatly appreciated, thank you!
- v8.1.1iOS
Big user interface improvements, and some small new features. 1) New, modern UI theme across entire app. 2) Cleaner and more modern app icon. 3) Improve range heat map details text (e.g., sorted list of hands, better column alignment). 4) Ability to deal random cards to just one specific player. Long-tap one of the player’s card fields to bring up the player’s shortcut menu, then tap the “Deal Random Cards” button. 5) This app now requires iOS 7 or later. Further details below. === Seeking More App Ratings/Reviews === We saw some new app reviews since the last update, thank you! If you like PokerCruncher, please consider rating/reviewing it to support our continuing work, or please update your old rating/review to this latest version. Your ratings and reviews help us and the PokerCruncher app succeed, and get even better, thank you! -RJ Further Details: 1) Some small additional UI improvements, e.g.: * Small layout and font size improvements. * Improve the appearance of highlighted (tapped) buttons (remove the highlight-glow, dim the buttons instead). 3) Improve range heat map details text: * Show a sorted list of all hands at the bottom (sorted on Equity). * Clarify the wording of the handling of card and range removal effects. No changes to stats/functionality. * Use commas to separate the fields, and use tabs to align the columns better. * Small bug fix: If there’s exactly 1 assign-able hand combo in a cell then the specific suits of the hand combo were sometimes being written incorrectly; write the suits correctly. This was just a printing error; didn’t affect the stats.
- v7.4.1iOS
1) Fix an edge-case hand ranges equity calculation bug. Details below. 2) Small wording and help info. improvements. Thanks for your new app reviews. If you like PokerCruncher, please consider rating/reviewing it to support our continuing work, thank you! Details: 1) This bug required the scenario to have 3 or more players, and 2 or more hand ranges, where the hand ranges and player and board and dead cards are highly overlapping with very few live hand combos available for assigning. This wasn’t a bug that one would encounter in “normal” usages of the app, e.g. if there’s only 1 hand range in the scenario, or if there are many hand ranges but many hand combos are live and available for assigning. It took 5+ years for this bug to be seen/reported. Thanks jdr0317 on the TwoPlusTwo poker forums for finding/reporting this bug!
- v7.3.1iOS
Small UI improvements to ensure that the UI will be clean under the soon to be released iOS 8. * Show scenario text, heat map details text, and some Help info. text in small screens instead of in small alert views. * Shorten and clean up some alert views’ messages. * Some other minor UI improvements, e.g., use a space in “Export (Email)”. Thanks for your app reviews. If you like PokerCruncher, please consider rating/reviewing it to support our continuing work, thank you!
