Two new twists on the board — and a much tidier finish line. NEW: DOUBLE LOCKS From Level 50, a locked letter can be held shut by BOTH of its neighbours instead of just one. Solve one side and half the lock is already gone, so a glance tells you how far along you are. Solve the other and it opens. NEW: WORD LOCKS From Level 55, a whole word can be wrapped in chains, with a counter on top showing how many more letters you need. Solve enough of the rest of the phrase and the entire word opens at once. The tiles never move, so the shape of the answer stays readable the whole time. Both mechanics bring their own short lesson the first time you meet them. DOUBLE YOUR SCORE From Level 9 on, the level-complete screen can offer you a second chance at the score you just earned: watch a short ad and it doubles, with some coins on top. Continue sits right beside it, so skipping costs you nothing. Rebus PRO members double the score with a single tap and no ad — the score only; the bonus coins come with the ad. The screen also spells out what that level actually paid you — ranking score and coins, side by side. ONE CELEBRATION, NOT FOUR Coins, feathers and rockets used to appear in the same spot and land on top of each other. Now every reward — including the new ranking score — stacks up in its own row, and they all fly to their counters together. • Rewards no longer drift into your next puzzle • After a full-screen ad at the end of a level, your rewards now land on the menu instead of waiting for something else to open • The rewards keep clear of the PLAY button, even on small screens FOCUS MODE, CORRECTED Focus Mode was quietly hiding your Daily Gifts and Login Rewards along with everything else. It now skips menu pop-ups but keeps the ones that offer you a reward for watching an ad — and the setting now says so. FIXES • The prize screen after a rewarded ad now waits for the ad to close instead of slipping past behind it • Purchases that used to fail with "not available right now" now retry the store connection when you tap, instead of failing straight away • A puzzle picture that fails to load now retries on its own a few times before giving up • The very first launch after installing gets you into your first puzzle sooner • A new account that could not reach the cloud on first launch now tries again when the connection returns, instead of giving up for the whole session • Fixed a rare start-up failure that showed an error screen instead of your game • If the puzzle list cannot load at start-up, the game now recovers on its own • Signing in with Google says what actually went wrong instead of blaming your connection • Fixed the most common cause of the menu coming up oversized on the first launch after an update • The "coins short" number in the offers pop-up now updates as you earn coins • A tip screen could pop up over the main menu and swallow taps if you left the Ranking tab quickly — fixed • Piñata card reveals now come before the bonus pop-up • Account & Sync shows which profile you are signed in as, right above Delete Account & Data
