REC 7.6 introduces Cine++, a cutting-edge video stabilization mode exclusively available for iOS 18 users on recent devices. We've fixed an issue that affected the activation of external storage when migrating from an iPhone 15 Pro to an iPhone 16 Pro. With this update, your external drives should now activate seamlessly, ensuring smooth recording and storage management across devices.

Introducing iOS 18 and iPhone 16 Pro support. You can now use REC to record at 4K at 120 FPS with your iPhone 16 Pro. You can also use the camera control to start and stop recording. Enjoy the update and thanks for using REC.

We have improved the existing recording stop warning system to now include notifications for low battery interruptions. If your battery level drops to a critical level and affects recording, you will receive triple-warning alerts:

* On-screen Alert: A prominent visual cue will notify you of the low battery situation.
* Audio Alert: An audible signal will warn you if you’re not looking at the screen.
* Flashing Lights: The device’s flashlight will blink several times to ensure the alert is visible even from the front.

These enhancements ensure that you won't miss any crucial moments due to unforeseen power issues. Our aim is to provide you with as much control and foresight as possible, so your recordings remain uninterrupted and of the highest quality.

In version 7.1.1 we introduce a few UI tweaks in the settings menu.

In version 7.1 we introduced a mechanism to warn our users if video has stopped recording for ANY reason. REC lets you know in three distinct ways.

    1. An alert on the screen. This visual cue should make it very obvious that something has gone wrong. But what if you're not behind the camera, but in front of it?
    2. An audio alert. If you're not looking at the screen, this is your first line of defense as an indication of a problem. But there are ways to miss this as well, if the device is silenced or the interruption itself produces audio.
    3. Flashing lights. The last line of defense. Even if you're in front of the camera, and the device is silenced, it will be difficult to miss the device's flashlight lighting up several times.

All three of these alerts happen simultaneously, so you're aware the instant that there's a problem. But what can you do to prevent problems in the first place? You can try putting your device in airplane mode, to reduce the risk of incoming calls or messages. Completely closing all apps in the background may help REC retain focus. And denying permission to any non-critical notifications will help reduce the likelihoood of receiving one during a crucial moment. But when all else fails, we will make absolutely sure you know that an interruption has occurred.

The answer is surprisingly, more ways than we thought. Anything that has the potential to temporarily take the device's focus could interrupt your footage.
