- v4.5.2iOS
Bug fix
- v4.5.1iOS
Minor bug fixes
- v4.5iOS
Option when dragging in a PDF file onto the canvas to import it as grayscale. This makes it possible to create a smaller file when exporting the marked up document as PDF so it is more likely to be a reasonable size for email. I am currently using this to have students submit email a PDF of their homework/exams. I drag their PDF into reDraw, add comments and their grade, and email the marked-up PDF back to them.
- v4.4iOS
When dragging or importing a PDF, option to set it as a background image. This works better when you want to be able to select your writing/drawing without selecting the PDF content. Minor bug fixes
- v4.3.2iOS
Minor bug fixes
- v4.3.1iOS
Minor bug fixes for iOS 13
- v4.3iOS
PDFs can now be set as background image for a slide. Useful for importing a PDF of a homework/exam. Make the PDF page the background and then write in answers. Selection works better when PDF is the background image. Keyboard shortcuts for the delete key. Delete deletes one stroke. Command-delete erases the slide. Command-Alt-delete deletes the slide.
- v4.2iOS
Copy/drag rich text from other apps and paste/drop into a reDraw document as a text object. Note not all apps support copying/dragging their text as rich text so there is a setting for whether or not text should be pasted and drag/drop as rich text or plain text. If the rich text does not paste/drag from the other app, change the settings to plain text and reDraw will use its Text Size setting for the text you paste/drag. Improved PDF exporting.
- v4.1iOS
Support for 2018 iPad Pro models and new Apple Pencil double tap feature.
- v4.0iOS
Improved document format. Version 4.0 will open older documents (and convert them to the new format), but documents created or opened with version 4.0 or higher cannot be opened with reDraw versions prior to 4.0. Changed dragging of PDFs and images so that if you drag both a PDF and an image in the same drag, only the PDF will be imported. This change was made because some apps include both an image and a PDF when dragging data from them. You can drag multiple PDFs and multiple images, but you cannot drag a mix of PDFs and images.
- v3.1.2iOS
Minor UI tweaks.
- v3.1.1iOS
Minor UI tweaks.
- v3.1iOS
Zooming/panning on iPad will also zoom/pan external screen. Long press next slide button will duplicate slide and move to it. Undo will delete the duplicated slide and move back to the original slide. Long press mark button will clear all marked points on the current slide. Undo will restore all the marked points.
- v3.0iOS
Support for iOS 11 Files app and standard iOS 11 document picker so you may now store documents in iCloud Drive (note: not all Cloud providers such as Dropbox and Google Drive have been updated for proper support of creating/saving files). Support for dragging images onto the canvas (before you had to copy and paste images and you may still use copy/paste if you prefer). Support for dragging PDFs from the Files app onto the canvas to import a PDF. You may still share a PDF from various PDF apps to reDraw.
- v2.1iOS
Preparation for next version which will require iOS 11. This update will run on iOS 10 and higher and allow sharing of reDraw files from version 3.0 to older versions of reDraw.
- v2.0iOS
Make the drawing canvas full screen using option in navigation bar. Step through your presentation and record a video of the the slides along with your audio explanation by pressing the Share icon on the drawing canvas screen and choosing the option to record a presentation. Requires an iPad Air or newer iPad (iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, current iPad). Open your reDraw document, press the share icon near top right and choose "Recored Presentation and then share." Press the Rec (Record) button and grant permission for the app to record your screen (and if you want record audio, choose the option to record screen & microphone). Note: on iOS 10, you may need to move the window with the Rec button by dragging the gray bar in the top of it to start the recording). Once the bar turns red, the app is recording. Press the Stop button when you are done recording.
- v1.2iOS
What's new in version 1.2: * Added a button in navigation bar (between + button for new slide and settings gear button) to expand the slide canvas. It hides the left bar and the the buttons/sliders above the canvas. Press it again to shrink the slide canvas and restore those views. * Pressing Cmd-/ on an externally connected keyboard will create a text drawable below the bottom item on the current slide no matter what drawing tool is currently selected. * Added Previous/Next slide buttons on either side of slide number button. Pressing the slide number displays a view for picking any slide. * When drawing with the Pen tool and the Shift button is On, lines that are nearly horizontal or nearly vertical are changed to horizontal or vertical lines. * Long press the Select button to select all the objects on a slide.
- v1.1iOS
Option to import PDF with either one or two slides per page. Two slides per page is useful when importing letter size PDF into 16:9 or 4:3 documents. Minor text object tweaks.
