The Skydio Autonomy Engine is at the heart of what makes Skydio 2 the world’s most intelligent self-flying drone, capable of next-generation obstacle avoidance.
- CASE LANDING: You can now autonomously land on your Skydio case! Place your case on the ground with the Skydio logo facing up, fly Skydio 2 over the case so that the camera can look down and see the logo, and begin landing. Skydio 2 will track the logo and land on the top of the case.
- NEW FLIGHT MODES: Along with mode 2, Skydio 2 now supports flying in mode 1 and mode 3 while using dual stick onscreen controls.
CONTROLLER UPDATE
- NUDGING: When landing with a connected Controller, you can now nudge the the vehicle in roll, pitch, and yaw to shift your landing location. Throttle up to cancel the landing. Obstacle avoidance is disabled during landing and nudging.
- NEW FLIGHT MODES: Along with mode 2, Skydio 2 now supports flying in mode 1 and mode 3 with the Controller, available in the Controller inflight setting menu.
